This looks like a very good option.
My PSI test went up to 7 in April when I took my yearly physical.Primary care Dr. sent me to a urologist a month after the visit he did another PSI and went up to 7.5 reading he then asked me to submit to a biopsy of my prostate which they take twelve samples from your prostate Out of the twelve tested only one tested positive.Next step was a pet scan which showed the area were the positive sample was indeed cancer following that I was given options for treatment 1. surgically remove cancer 2. radiation treatment two types original treatment was five weeks monday-friday or SBRT radiation which is high dose radiation that's done in five day's every other day and each treatment is about fifteen minutes.I chose the SBRT because it is done quick and I live in a small town sixty miles away from the hospital also the cancer was only in a small area of the prostate and detected early and not spread outside of affected area.I finished the treatment and have been told by the Doctors that I'm good and will just monitor PSI levels going forward.To close I'm 71yrs old have been lucky enough thru my whole life not to have any health issues not because of my lifestyle when I grew up I have been clean and sober for 35yrs but prostate problems and cancer are very common in men 55+.If you want any more info from my experience let me know would be happy to share my experience.
Same story with my old man. Grandpa had it when he was 70, had it removed, he lived to 92

Say what? I don't think mine was removed that way.I have not had prostate cancer but I have had over half my prostate removed. For anyone that doesn't know about prostate surgery, they pull it out of the tip of your dong. Wishing you the best my man.
Six arthroscopic incisions.
I had mine removed at City of Hope in August 2023. IMO they are the best. All of my treatments were top notch. In for surgery at 6 am, out by 6 pm. Catheter bag for a week. I was up and around in a couple of days. Then the recovery starts. I wore depends for a few weeks and then moved to a pad. I also went to physical therapy to strengthen the pelvic floor. Soon as I was almost back to normal moved onto 40 days of radiation. First couple of weeks not too bad but then that shit starts building up in you. Mostly fatigue but also messed with the bowel movements again. Got that done and moved onto hormone therapy. Still on it today. Should be off first of next year. Hormone therapy not very fun but for me it was all needed to make sure that shit does not come back. No signs of any cancer so it all must be working. For me City of Hope is the best. Keep the faith brother.
Mine was robotic. Seven small incisions in the abdomen area. In by 6 am out by 6 pm
Same I only had 5 incisions that never hurt when the nitrogen they pumped my abdomen with hurt like hell when it was dissipating out my shoulder area. WORST PAIN ON MY LIFE brought me to my knees walking around in the hospital after surgery seemed to help. I've broken bones,road rash from motorcycles,etc.
This is me exactly. Had as high as 13 but not doing biopsy after MRI.
the psa proves nothing , only way to know for sure is to do a biopsy. To each there own I had the biopsy which confirmed I had cancer , not sure how anyone got released the same day, I had surgery at 7 didnt even get to a room until 3 got out the next afternoon.
If you can take short walks down the hall (when doc says its ok)I assume they have your bag on wheels. I had no pain in my abdomen it was all from the gas escaping my body. I felt it all through my left upper body area especially my shoulder. I was lucky to hardly any blood in catheter bag. Take care.
