Nice! Are you guys an AC company with a nice shop or sheet metal shop that sells to AC companies.

We are an HVAC company with a shop that also sells to other companies...need some duct work built?

I think I used AutoCad about 20 years ago.

Am fluent with Unigraphics NX4 and Catia V5.

I have almost every design software available. Let me know if you want to try something.

heh, i got certified for autocad r14.....never touched it again after i graduated 11 years ago.....sure has changed a lot since. i thought about picking it back up to design some trick rigging hardware.

We're in Irwindale so ye we are in LA County. We don't manufacture any round just rectangular.

It works out very well for us. Many people dont see the use of having their own shop as they claim they dont save any money...I don't know what I would do without a shop it saves on time plus I can put anyone in the shop I want. I buy the steel for th esame price within a couple of cents that everyone else does plus we are union and I would have to buy from a union shop and I know I produce it faster than any shop out there plus I don't have to pay anyones mark up. I can also burn a part and have it done in an emergency. I think there are too many advantages to having a shop not to have one.

We have a guy in Pamona (shoulder's Sheet metal) do the smaller jobs for us. If not, we have Omni or Pacific Duct or Oreco do it.

I hear Shoulders is retiring soon. I know I can beat those three on price I do all the time.

Yeah he is. Apparently us and the Abbey company are the only ones keeping his doors open right now. Gave him $20,000 in work in June alone. lol!

Nothing as cool as a lot of what's posted here (other than looking for a job). I work for a car manufacturer. I tell dealers how to be profitable and not piss off customers. :D

Check here for some job openings in Lake Forest. If you are interested PM me with your email address and I will send you a "employment recommendation". Do not fill out the application until I send you the email. In addition to owning my biz, I work with PAC as a PM. The benefits are great and the place is real laid back. We are growing globally at tremendous rates.

Circuit board manufacturing. I can't actually show you picks from inside our plant because a lot of it is proprietary, but basically I program and operate stuff like this I found on you tube.

and this

Let me also add, that whoever programmed this selective is wasting huge amounts of time with unnecessary movement.

Actually most of our equipment is newer and faster than anything I could find on youtube, but you get the idea.

I also do a bit of construction/remodeling and pizza delivery on the side to pay the rest of the bills.

I have a hose and fittings shop for the motorsports folks (or what ever else). What I feel sets me apart from the other guys is I make most of my own fittings. Not only can I do it my way but I have fun giving parts wacky names.

The Busby (after Brian Busby) Nice for jet boats with set back pumps among other things.

busby.JPG

The De-Lux line of fittings is coming right along
Holley carb fittings De-Lux (reduced hex so you can fit a wrench on them and a -6AN wrench at that)

Holley_carb_fittings.JPG

1/2" NPT Plug De-Lux (-6AN wrench fits these also)

DSC02271.JPG

Here are some -8 X 1"NPT that work real nice in the big offshore coolers (power steering, transmissions). As far as I know I'm the only one making these.

normal_DSC02260.JPG

The correct fittings for GM transmissoins (Shocked no one else is making these, pipe threads are not correct!)

normal_Turbo_400_fitting.JPG

DOT brake hoses made any way you want. Lifted trucks and hot rods with mixed and matched parts are not a problem.

whew, thanks for letting me spam. :D

This is what I do most days... Finding a job in this economy sucks !!! :swear

What kind of leads do you get off of that site? My wife has been on it for some time and gets mostly crap from BS agencies or leads that are totally unrelated to the type of work she is seeking.
