Not many. The university/college versions of Monster are better, as you usually have alumni and supporters looking to hire. Unfortunately, I lost my free 2 year membership to USC's version this last may, or I would be more than happy to offer up my access.

Best thing to do is find an area that you are interested in and get in contact with a head hunter. Most are cold-calling leaches, but some really do what they are suposed to. Luckily I had one that was worth his weight and found the exact job I was looking for and really helped me out. Unfortunately, he passed away shortly after I was hired, so when time comes to move, I will be out looking for another. :smackhead

How's that holding out for you? I was looking at doing that a few years ago, but I really wanted a Snap on route and there were none to be had in my area. Second choice was Matco, but the only route available was a portion of Pepe's route and they were going to let him cherry pick who he wanted to keep as customers. I wonder how I would have done with gas prices going the way they did.

Most head hunters that are legit work for the companies they are placing their clients into and they get a percentage of the clients annual salary after they have gotten through an established set of time.

What did you do the Marine Industry? My family has been in the industry going back 3 generations, but has since gotten out in the early '00's.

Cool scaffold job we did. Everything was suspended so they could replace the copper sheating on the domes.

Which brokerage was that? Do you have your yacht brokerage license? Captains License?

It was the Century Boat dealer. I ended up going out on my own a little over a year ago doing the same work, in attempt to get paid regularly.

No yacht broker license, that was one of those carrot dangling on the end of the stick deal.

USCG 6 Pac license, however I'm limited to mission bay :smackhead per my previous employment at Mission Bay Aquatic Center as a Wakeboard and Water Ski Instructor. Again knowing then what I know now, I most definitely would have gotten that license on my own, just to have an unrestricted license.

I work for a steel fabricator. Mostly structural steel. Been building LOTS of new schools in Vegas, along with the new Summerlin Hospital, the McCarran Airport expansion, and a bunch of others out there too. We also do a bunch of smaller custom jobs too for US Steel and other local places. Boss man also owns a few other businesses (Marble & Granite shop, piping, wood flooring, real estate, etc) that I do work for also.

Not getting rich but paying the bills and chuggin along. I went with Mac Tools for a couple reasons: My own business, No franchise fees; My buddy that got me into it was Snap On for 7 years and switched to Mac; The route I got was Fontana and had only been open 3-4 Months. Gas isn't really killing me yet because I live in Fontana so I drive right into my route. There are a couple routes opened up right now.

Not trying to change the subject, but this "ridgeless ridgeback" you speak of ???? I rescued my dog as well, and I have always said she is a ridgeback, but smaller with no ridge...is this a real breed??? Here she is sitting at my feet right now...

Sure looks like a ridgeback to me. I've read/heard about 10% of the puppies are ridgeless. In the past the breeders would 86 them to try and keep the ridgeless gene from becoming dominant. They can't make money on a ridgeless ridgeback. Now they try and spay/neuter them ASAP to keep them from breeding. I'm thinking our adoption from last week was put on the streets by a shady backyard breeder - he came in as a stray.

How big is your dog? I've seen a huge range in sizes. I thought our other Ridgeback was big at 80lbs but he was dwarfed by a friends 110-120 pound monster! Breed standard calls for 80lb males, 70lb females.
