Not sure on the truck but I would go 18”. I know on the trx you can’t go smaller because of the brakes.

Why in the world are you running 65psi in the tires? Are you loaded down? Most tires around that size have a load capacity of 2000+ lbs each at 35 psi. Go up to 40 and it typically goes up an additional 200 lbs.

I'd suggest looking up your load rating table for your tires and adjust cold PSI accordingly. You'll get more life and a better ride.
Have you ever towed 20k+ lbs at 40psi? 🤣
They should be at 65f 80r on 3/4 and 1 tons
A 1 ton weighs just shy of 10k lbs dry. 60-65 psi and tires last 50-60k miles.
If you want to drive in the lane next to me while I run at 40psi towing, I’m down but odds are I’m gonna crush what ever your in

Op : if your truck rides life a forklift the tire change is going to be minimal improvement. Like road reflectors won’t go bang bang bang, instead it will be a light thump thump thump
Save your money for a better lift.
My 1 ton rides like a 1/2 ton, and can load/tow to full abilities

Yessir I agree that a new lift is in order, and I'm envious of your ride quality!!

My truck is an 02 leaf sprung front axle truck. I have an 07 f250 radius arm axle in my garage along with about 90% of the parts to complete the swap. I have a set of pure performance triple rate coils in that bundle of parts, I'm really looking forward to the ride quality once this is comple. I think all that I have left to sort out is how to steer an 07 axle with 02 steering. 🍻

I need tires now though hence this thread.

Man I just checked Carli and no love for GM. Is there anyone else that can provide a good suspension/lift kit for GM that provides a similar ride improvement?

That will be a sweet conversion.
My Donahoe lift was top of the line in 03.
It rides better than stock.
I believe Donahoe is now Icon.

Coginto Motorsports is pretty good. GM suspension is going to be difficult to match the options that the ford/ram trucks have with the front axel.

That would be why my send question was "are you loaded down?" I read your original post as if you were empty or damn near.

Obviously towing adds a bunch of weight. Specially a 5th wheel. So yes, your pressures should be adjusted higher in accordance to the weight.

Load Inflation Table
Toyo publishes it on their site, but its industry standard.

Just lookup your tire and it tell you its load rating at a given psi 👍

Is King shocks the go to brand or is there better?
Personally I prefer Kings, there’s just always a wait to get them. But I’m also happy with the Foxes I put in the wife’s Suburban.

I think they’re both at the top of the Gucci shock heap, but others may differ.

Any benefit from going with 3.0 shocks vs the kits that come with 2.5’s? For a 1 ton SRW.

I think they can be tuned to provide an amazing ride quality, at great expense.

I’ve only owned 2.5s and I’ve been happy with them. I personally wouldn’t run anything smaller…even Tacomas and Jeeps offer 2.5s these days
