Feet per minute
you can drive 11000 feet per minute (125mph) in your truck (unless you have a Ford). This is clearly faster than that.

If the rate of decent (vertical speed) was 1100 ft/sec (750mph)....since the airplane was not going straight down but lets call it a 30° slope, that would result in an airspeed about double the rate of decent, which looks plausable based on the video.

I’ve been watching these ring doorbell videos and dash cam videos in horror and amazement. Horror because loss of life and amazement in that apparently, I have no concept of speed. I went over my math again and am embarrassed to say that it was very wrong. I’m thinking that if the CNN reported rate of decent of 11000 fps is a misprint because that math works out to over 7000 mph which equates to FUCKN’ HYPERSONIC MISSILE SPEED. So, I suppose it was meant to be 11k FPM yet videos show something that’s appears to be almost faster than the speed of sound when it probably was 500+ mph. Prayers to all that were impacted by this tragedy

This video looks to be possible spatial disorientation. Aircrew lost site of the instruments? Thought the aircraft was in a wings level attitude, looked down and saw inverted instruments? Looked up through windshield saw nothing due to clouds and instinctively (gut reaction) pulled up to climb but rather pulled into the ground. yeah, this happens. regors video would explain the high speed into earth and the power high as they may have thought they were climbing

Hannity now says it was 2400 feet per minute which equals 27 mph...I think he meant to say feet per second which equals 1636 mph...Don't think we'll ever know, but it did look like a missle.

Doesnt look at all like a missle...not at all

YIKES!
It clearly looks like an aircraft in that vid.

the landing lights appear in the video coming through the fog what some may have interpreted as possible afterburners when in fact the crew was unsure of the aircraft attitude and probably focused on visual (there was none) and instruments (all upside down) and put the aircraft in a stall even inverted, power levers were full, aircraft accelerated, low altitude, then….boom……Sad deal

That guy (speaking in what appears to be Arabic) just happened to be filming with his phone almost centered on point of impact 🤔

That thing was burning on it's way down, like it had afterburners
I think that's aircraft lighting, diffused by the fog.

I thought I heard aloha snackbar too….yeah, the guy probably knows an attack is coming, he just didn’t think it’d be in his new government issued house with pre paid debit card and free medical/dental + vision…..hahaha

Time to go in Bobby Axelrod mode and start shorting airline stocks?

Fox just threw out the possibility that there was fire on board with the O2, completely possible and would explain why it appears it's burning

My biggest fear. As a retired airline mechanic, id ride along in back with the passengers, in any open seat, in uniform, on any given day, flying to fix another aircraft.
one of the most commonly asked question from some random passengers would be “if I had one fear about this flying stuff, what would it be?’
And it would be, fire in the cabin

Ground speed doesn’t indicate a stall.
I don't have a subscription, but the playback of the flight stopped at speed and altitude shown in my one screenshot. Will be curious if that's when the flight data recorder also lost power. A math nerd may be needed to calculate speed at time of impact.

Opinions age of that Lear Jet? Fox indicates 44 years.

Several years ago Aloha Airlines jet ripped apart flying Hilo / Honolulu on a daily schedule of many take off / landing cycles. Poor Maintenance & Metal fatigue was mentioned.

He reacts before impact
Yeah, he's like WTF is that sound, then impact and you can get a glimpse of the terror on his face. I'm sure he thought we were being attacked

As of last night when I went to bed they hadn't said yes or no, I'm guessing yes

I saw an interview of the guy working at the gas station. He said there were body parts on the ground and he saw a person running on fire. I can’t imagine there weren’t people killed on the ground, I guess the body parts could have been from the plane?

Watching the crash videos these seems to be a big flash before impact then the big explosion. I hate to think this, but could one of the pilots been suicidal with a bomb snuck onboard?

The flash looks like it’s at impact, the second flash is probably fuel from one of the wings exploding a second or so later after it was atomized.

I heard that too but no official confirmation yet

Anything is possible until the investigation is done, to be honest it crossed my mind as well.

Edit:
I should clarify the suicide part crossed my mind, not the bomb part.

I have a video my friend sent me that lives in Philly, but it’s way too graphic to post yes body parts everywhere looks like a butcher shop. Truly horrific.

Cameras (especially shitty cameras for security / dashcam ) sometime react wierd to lights/noise. There are screwy delays. I'd not read too deep into it
