It sounds like he scraped his leg pretty good on the exit and they were keeping him at the havasu hospital for observation.

Beat up, but should be ok, all things considered.

Tom, the pix I saw last nite appeared to have fairly severe hull delamination at the front port side and the entire deck was gone. Guessing that if it did delam, it would have submarined in and tore the deck off.

All observations and speculation on my part.

Here's the latest update- he opened his eyes this morning. Gave a thumbs up. When asked held up 2 fingers. Making progress.

Just got word here at the track, they have brought Andrew out of the induced coma. The trac tube is still in place he is responsive, asking about the boat, scratching his dad's belly. So that is great news! Prayers sent to him and his family at this time.

Stopped at their house in Parker this morning to see what I could do to help since I knew they had boats in the water.
Talked with Andrew's Uncle Bruce and was told pretty much the same thing as above.
He said there was some bleeding and swelling around the brain and that the doctors would be pulling him in and out the coma to keep him where they wanted him.
The Nurse said he was very lucky due to the force of the impact, things could, of course, been a whole lot worse.
Bruce did say there was a pretty good size chunk out of his helmet...so there was some impact.
Boat was in the trailer and thanks to the Eddie Knox team the motor is apart.
His Family is with him now, which I know will lift his spirits and speed his recovery.

Spent some time with him and the family Friday night at the races. They are a very tight knit group and I now they will persevere though this.

I have prayed that the Lord will be with the doctors as they tend to him and his family as they wait for him and of course that God will hold Andrew in the Cleft of the Rock and bring him through this.

Was pretty beside myself last night when I heard about it last night.. . I have been trying to get updates through some friends. Last I heard he was in good spirits.

Heard earlier today that Josh (rider) was released from Havasu hospital and returned to the pits today.
