"We are going back today to see him and Paul Hosler, the head of Lucas Oil Rescue that pulled him from the water will be with us.
Even in his groggy, not awake state yesterday, he said to make sure we thank Kevin Mancebo the diver that rescued him.
So he has memory and is starting to come around."

Wednesday Update...

Another Great day!
-Andrew is awake and eating
-Nurses got him up and walking
-He is now talking not whispering!

Still very tired and wants to rest, which is normal.
It is anticipated that tomorrow will be more of the same, so we will forego tomorrow night's update and do one on Friday Night!(This is a good thing!)

The Family again wants you all to know how much your concern is appreciated.

Friday Update...

-Andrew was moved out of Trauma Ward and into a regular room
-Has been up walking ALOT
-Eating well
-Had a visit from Tony Constantino today and they talked some racing
-Still very tired
-His Mom and Dad are still there with him
-He actually spoke with his Uncle Bruce on the phone today, which was really cool!

It is hoped that he will be coming home sometime next week.
Upon returning he will be going into Rehab
Andrew is most disappointed that he won't be able to make it to the Tube Float, but he knows how important Rehab will be.
He knows the River isn't going anywhere! Maybe 4th of July??

Tonight Bruce and I decided that he will give me a call early in the week to update Andrew's progress and hopefully travel plans to come home!!
I will get an update up as soon as I hear from him.

Thanks again for all the thoughts and prayers...Keep'em coming!!

Haven't posted in this thread until now. I was actually in Havasu last Saturday and was suppose to meet up with Phil of Lucas Oil's Safety Team. My schedule changed and wasn't able to meet up. Saturday night I was with a Havasu PD friend and he told me about the crash. He said it was a cracker box and I immediately thought of Rivergames. Hoping it wasn't him but knowing it was somebody. That "person" was in our prayers that night. A friend at the races sent me a text Sunday advising it was Andrew. (1st reports were scary at best!). I have never met Andrew but spoke a few times on the boards. Our prayers have been with him daily.

Spoke to Andrew on the phone yesterday.
He is hoping to to come home this weekend and then hang out for about a week or 2 and then start back to work a little at a time.
He sounds great.
Physically he has no real aches or pains(his stomach is still a little sore).
According to his Uncle, They are working him real hard at the rehab facility and he is responding well.
It was great to talk to him and he thanks you all so much for your thoughts and prayers.
My guess is that we will be hearing from him real soon here on the boards.
THAT will be a great day!
