So we did the 6-7 weeks of lock down with the family, and quite literally as soon as my mom got in the car to go home I went to In N Out and got a cheeseburger.. lol. (We weren’t even eating take out)

Now that they have left life has gone completely back to normal for us. I figure if I get it I get it.. or more realistically I don’t think we are gonna get it.

We have gone to house parties, had a few bbq’s etc..

Have you returned to normal? Or still being cautious? Somewhere in between? Using sanitizer more often than not kinda deal?

As normal as can be. We went over to a friend's place last night for a delayed Cinco de Mayo dinner. We all stayed outside. Nice to get out and be social...

I spy Adams new OL! That things is just drop dead gorgeous. It wasn’t so much when it had the energy wrap on it. 👎

I’ve been 100% over this Fuckin bullshit since the word GO and frankly it barely affected me. Still over it.

Not ok with government “mandatory lock down”.

On a side note. Heard havasu is PACKED again.

In 10 years we will all look back at how stupid things were, however I’m not sure it will be for being overly cautious or overly confident.

Im going about my life but being cautious for now. Im frankly more worried about the economy in the coming months than the virus

We didn’t go full scale lockdown back when.
We limited outings and such but my wife still worked normal shifts.
I sprayed a couple of boats.

Life was slightly modified normal.
Still BBQ and throw the ball for the dogs, live life.

But...
Life is going to get a little more tricky now.
14 day lock down effective Thursday the 7th

As normal as can be since most everything is still locked down, only thing we picked up from this is washing our hands as soon as we walk in the house.

Over it, I think we’re all going to get it but it’s not going to be that big of a deal especially as treatments become mire known and effective. I feel like the focus needs to be getting the governors to reopen more of America, not like a light switch but maybe do dine in in a restaurant but every other table sat meaning you can sit with your immediate group at the same table but then put a table in between you and the next party. At least that would get cools, waiters, bus boys, etc back to work.

After 7-8 weeks of working from home we were given the Ok to work a couple days a week in the field. Worked local this week. Working in Havasu next. It’ll be nice to somewhat return to normal. Steph has been in hiding away in Havasu the whole time. Plan is for her to head home next weekend.

She tested positive.
Mild symptoms
Chest congestion and headache.
No fever as of yet.

Doing what she does the only surprise is it took this long.
Damn, sorry to hear. Both of you take care.

I never changed anything and kept on with my lifestyle which is quarantine anyways, I guess. I've always washed my hands and kept a 10' distance. It is nice going to the markets and not having someone else shoving a shopping cart up your ass or a kid smacking me in the nuts.

We were in a lockdown? I have traveled more in the last 2 months then the last 2 years. Put 10,000 miles on my dump truck in 3 weeks. Hauled loads up & down CA, NV, & AZ. Stayed in a dozen hotels, been to a dozen grocery stores to buy crap over the counter pre made food (no fast food will serv a truck driver because of the drive thru thing). Had several pizzas delivered. Never wore a mask, never got a sniffle. Bunch of bullshit if you ask me!!!

traffic was awesome tho, so all you sky is falling people please stay home so I can get my work done quickly. Also lovin fuel prices. I figured I got a $3000 raise this month 👍

I’m over it! I’m tired of wearing a mask everywhere (only because businesses won’t let you in without one) and long lines to go into Home Depot, or grocery Stores.

I do like the 6ft rule in line because that way I don’t have some one breathing down my neck. I can’t stand when people think they have to be almost touching me to talk to me or stand in line.

Just stay clean and respect people’s personal space.

Oh yeah and F**k Newsom

I’m looking at the bright side of things here.
She heard vitamin D is good, so there’s been naked, oily titties in the back yard a couple times a day😇👍
That’s turning lemons into peaches. I keep trying to tell my wife she needs some D also. Not sure if it’s working. Find out tomorrow night.

The only thing we changed was food. Normally eat large sit down lunch out and snack for dinner.
Weekends, we are getting some of the 10 year deferred maintenance done at home rather than heading to the Delta and drinking and partying all weekend, every weekend. Also saves about $300 week for food and bar tabs.
That said, I’m done with the crap, along with most of California. Newsom had better play along or his last job in politics will be over soon.

we are way OVER IT! Although, we're still taking basic precautions it's not stopping the family from doing anything. Work is a different story, I normally travel 150k-200k miles a year on the old petri dish in the sky and never though I'd actually miss it. I'M READY TO FLY!

I’m same as riverlvr trucks never slowed down except for rain,I did not change anything I did, I did find a box of N95 masks in my painting supplies I have to use when I go to a store but until it was mandatory I did not use anything.
When I’m not driving I work outside on the trucks or running equipment I have not used hand sanitizer once and I wash my hands the same amount. I do believe it is more contagious than the standard flu but if you aren’t over weight, diabetic or have one of the other things that put u at high risk just go on with life and don’t visit people that are at high risk.

My brother’s daughter did catch it and she is 19 it did kicked her ass for 2 weeks took another 2 weeks to feel normal then his wife came down with it but much more mild symptoms but none of the rest of the family have had symptoms been over a month since wife recovered.

Stand up and stretch your legs out but don't get used to it because "they" will be shutting us down again in October when the second round comes...........
While I could certainly see that happening, with all the antibody testing going on right now the # of cases compared to deaths is going to become much much greater lowering the death rate even more. In our immediate circle we are now up to a dozen confirmed cases/ confirmed antibody tests and the sickest person was down for 3-4 days missing work. My son's boss in Wa. state who "thought he had it back in January" like we all hear so many people say daily in conversations about rona' got tested yesterday and he tested positive, as did 2 other guys from his office . Personally I never really missed a beat, and the wife gets paid to work from home --

Yes and no. Wife is a nurse practitioner so I have a bit of a different perspective as she is all into the pathology of it. It was certainly not as bad as predicted which is good. The bad is this is probably due to the various mutations of the virus with some variants are worse than others. It will probably come and go with the flu season for the foreseeable future. Some years will be worse than others and a vaccine will be more of a crap shoot like a flu shot than an end all like a small pox vaccine due to the mutating of the virus. Hopefully it mutates itself into a weak ass do nothing variant.

I got SARS back in the day at an Asia-Pacific show at the LA Convention Center back when I was with K&N. Ugly. Hospitalized for 10 days, not ventilated but I was on face mask pressurized oxygen. O2 saturation was in the low 70s. Pretty much in and out of consciousness a good part of the time. Not really something I want to do again 15 years older. Just maybe I have a bit of an immunity from that, who knows.

I’ll mask up in public until the end of the month or so while I observe what opening up does.

reporting from NorCal it's still looking somewhat dystopian lock down, but it's like city by city. Some wanna be normal, some are not taking any chances. someone has to be the guinea pig or so called canary in the coal mine, so I'll be looking in the new's about what happens in the open states.

Took it pretty serious as I was also providing for my mom and in-laws all over 80. Does'nt bother me to wear a mask in stores. I think of others who may be caring for older folks. I think the 6 foot rule is great. Keeps all the dip suits off my ass. I will keep wearing a mask for awhile and I don't feel like a sheep. In the first week of all this I had an LAPD detective come into an office. After a minute or two he coughed all over the place. Didn't even try to cover. I was standing by the opposite door 12 feet away. But you can't trust anyone.

This second go around has nothing to do with numbers or all to do with numbers. What I mean is "they" feel if we would have responded sooner the numbers would be far less then they are now. So......... When the first few cases come then next time they will shut EVERYTHING down quickly to stop it from spreading.......

We are very cautions where we go and how many people around. We will not return back to normal for some time. I am sure glad we like to golf a lot because we are separated by large distances. In the boat is it is easy to stay apart.

Agreed, plus there's the decent % of the population that has now experienced and enjoyed "working" remotely or from home which will happily comply ...

Over it. I will continue with Instacart because I hate grocery shopping with the wife, but next weekend I’ll hit the range with friends and work our way into the new normal.

So over it. But still have to be cautious, the wife is in the high risk category. But we are just going to go at it like every other year during flu season. Pretty much use common sense and stay away from very large groups, keep our hands clean, limit our exposure to what we call snot farms, and limit eating out.
We have a good size group going camping next weekend, but we should be able to social distance good enough to stay safe. We are still planning a summer trip, but will probably make it an RV adventure so we can stay out of hotels and limit our restaurant exposure. But life has to go on, looking forward to spending some money at some of the smaller stores that have been closed. Probably tip our tab also when we do go out.

It was on the news that 40% of the work force will NOT go back to work.... Some of them will work remotely and others are just not needed. They went on to say if you are a employee this is what you need to do to be productive and the same for the employer....

Over it also and have been for awhile but still taking some extra precautions but basically just using common sense. I will say I would be very happy to overpay for some ice cold draft beer in a frozen mug right now.

Just got back from the fish store (aquariums not food). This is Riverside County where they lifted restrictions. They had a sign on the door. No more than 3 people at a time in the store, masks required. It was curbside prior. I liked it. Not shoulder to shoulder, time to browse and ask questions without feeling you’re interrupting a potential sale. I could get used to this.

Over it too. I went to the store this morning without a mask since it’s been pretty much receded in Riverside and San Bernardino counties. I’m curious what work will be like tomorrow. A week ago, our call volume was almost back to normal so that tells me that everyone else is pretty much over it. We were down approx 50+% on call volume and sleeping at night because people were scared of the hospitals!

Getting lots done around the house, closets cleaned out, Junk drawer, cabinets etc..... I think lockdown was/is ridiculous - so are the words "Over an abundance of care" - all the companies that are NOW saying they are sanitizing cleaning disinfecting everything .... um why didn't you before?

With that said " I have a wife and parents who have underlaying conditions", but I'm always more careful during flu season . . . .

I've returned to as normal as I can.

Still working from home.

I want to go shoot tomorrow, but the skeet club is closed through the end of the month. Stuff like that.

So over it. Had a major surgery 3 weeks ago so have been down more from that than anything else and getting sick of sitting around because of the restrictions that has caused.
