I miss traveling. I miss the thrill of getting an emergency exit row seat on Southwest. I miss seeing what new movies have been added for long haul flights. I miss not tallying my drinks in the executive lounge and sneaking them out.

I do like ordering food online and picking up. I will keep doing that.

Our main lab has stayed open the whole time, but we have had to go from 2 shifts to 3 shifts for 'distancing'. About 20% of our employees have disappeared. About 10% prefer to not work now due to possible health issues. We are paying double time for any employee that will work a 6th day in a week. I've only taken 2 days off in 7 weeks and my business partner none. It has opened our eyes more to the good employees as some have really stepped up, others not so much. We have had 2 production managers refuse to work the overnight shift.

We have been doing a lab expansion through this event. Was supposed to be done end of April, but the OCFA delayed our sprinkler plans then delayed inspections, so that set us back about 30 days. Overall, coming along well and looking forward to some new space.

If this $2000.00 per month per person payment plan that Bernie & co. are proposing gets any traction, we will never be able to get any employees to work.

My wife and I are still practicing social distancing. I'm a fire captain in socal and she's a physician with UCLA, and we've both seen an increase in covid cases over the last 7-10 days. Most of them are elderly, so I'm not worried about us, our are kids getting it and dying, but I do worry about my parents. Better safe than sorry, but I know some of my friends and family, that aren't on the front lines feel, differently than I. Hell a lot of my firefighters feel differently then me.

We have a family vacation home on the river in Mohave Valley, so we still head up there, but we don't interact with many other people.

How is your nephew @RiverDave

Totally over it. Went shopping today at Costco, Vons & Home Depot. Holy Shit it's crowded. Lines for the registers in Vons wrapped around the store.

Oh, and the masks, LMAO, looks like something out of a comedy show.

Restaurants, bars & resorts will not be able to function if they continue with the mask & social distancing thing. I think we all need to start functioning, protect our elderly & vulnerable, wash hands, don't shake hands, social distance, but continue with life.

Still being careful but both working through all of this. Wife has hands on patients every day. Treating people in a medical office of any kind will be different for awhile. Won’t be dining in restaurants anytime soon but continuing to support some really great places in town.

I was over it before it began. Had Businesses been open like normal, I wouldn't have changed my Life one bit. Sure I would've been cautious, but this lockdown was 110% unnecessary.

My biz is up over same period last year. Heaters replaced after years of not being needed. Tech upgrades to equipment in the same boat. People that put up with a little debris in the pool want vacs installed like yesterday lol.

I need a vacation!

We had a drive by party today that the invitation said "if your comfortable we will have cupcakes togo for the kids". It turned into a party, they weren't ready for that so no food but they did have beer, we all had a good time and was really needed by all. Here is a picture of my daughter and her best friend finally being able to give/get a hug.

Yea, me too. I feel guilty because we are busier than ever in the HVAC field taking care of biotech companies who are cranking out test kits 24/7 & searching for solutions, which is great, but I'm also kind of jealous of the people who get a break & staying home doing little projects.

I guess there's pluses & minuses to everything as I'm sure there's millions of people wishing they were in my boat.

Here on the OC coast folks have definitely had enough.... crowded entire day with cars and people just driving around looking for parking and really just walking around on the cliff getting some air. Feels very much like a 4th of July weekend ... I've walked down to shore last two nights at 10 to see bio-luminescence and I asked a couple folks if they were here to see it and they had no idea what I was talking about. So I guess folks are just done with being at home.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out over the next 60 days. I’m just gonna watch and let nature sort it out. I’m in no rush to give a shit, one way or the other.

I do go out front and wave my gun and flag at the virus every once in a while to let it know “Merica” n shit, seems to have kept it away.

Been to In N Out a couple times. The Habit and ordered Pizza.

Been pretty happy working from home and wearing a mask at the store.

I'm not going to go back to normal until I'm vacinated. One day at a time!

I’m a lot more concerned about what their vaccination will do than catching the flu! I’m OVER THIS and OVER NEWSOME! He can suck a bag of dicks!!!

So we did the 6-7 weeks of lock down with the family, and quite literally as soon as my mom got in the car to go home I went to In N Out and got a cheeseburger.. lol. (We weren’t even eating take out)

Now that they have left life has gone completely back to normal for us. I figure if I get it I get it.. or more realistically I don’t think we are gonna get it.

We have gone to house parties, had a few bbq’s etc..

Have you returned to normal? Or still being cautious? Somewhere in between? Using sanitizer more often than not kinda deal?

I always enjoy seeing photos of you and your family. It's been fun watching your progression from single life to respectable married man.

As for your post, I'm not going to go full throttle yet, but I'm done sitting at home. I'm taking my grandson on a guided fishing trip this week, I'm getting a haircut, and I might just get foolish and shake someone's hand.

Enough is enough.

The Sac Delta is over it. There are still marinas that are closed but the ones that are open are running out of parking. We cruised yesterday and all of the usuall spots are open and busy.

Been over it. Been flying 3-5 days a week. Just like normal for this time of year. Never wore a mask. Go the the stores as usual. A month ago we starting having the kids friends over. Our friends have been over quite a bit. Some late night drinking, bbq and swim parties. Life as usual, just home schooling.

One of my nephews is a Spirit Airlines captain, and he hasn't flown in seven weeks. He said he's done six flights since March 1.

"Over IT" , "was never into IT " suspect the general trend is the same , We had to stop and sort it out as a society but now we know the "odds" and should be left to deal with it on our own as individuals , USA has been wounded by "IT" but were resilient and we will adapt , Dont need oppression and baby sitters to tell us what we can do. I will admit we are fortunate where we (family) live (country vs city) also we were "electronic" business wise for years and dont have alot of walk in trade but definately OVER IT ... FUCK CHINA

Yep, definitely done with it. I understood the 1st 2 weeks. The intel I was getting looked bad but then the real numbers starting coming in so it wasn't necessary.

I though my family had it in Jan. My wife had the blue finger tips all the symptoms, she went to the DR they tested her for the flu it came back negative.

I saw my neurosurgeon for a follow up on 04/27 for brain surgery I had in Nov. Then I saw my primary DR on 04/28. We both thought it was a good idea to test me. I got the test for both active Covid 19 and the antibodies. I came back negative for active covid 19. I cam back positive for the antibodies so that shows I had at least 14 days or longer prior to the test. That fits the timeline of my family having it in Jan. The whole family is going to get tested now.

I've talked to multiple DR's and 3 neurosurgeons 2 that did my surgery and 1 that has no connection to the others. They all say it's BS at this point. They say the immune compromised need to stay home and the elderly that are sick. They say other than that we need to go back to normal. They all said the masks are useless that most won't stop it and people aren't full suits so they'll get it anyhow.

This was supposed to flatten the curve and not overwhelm the medical system. The system never got overwhelmed so why are we still locked down. Yes, people are getting sick and dying but nothing like they thought. It's all about control now.

Never really affected me as I still work Mon-Fri and some weekends. We have about 100 employees in a manufacturing environment so there is no social distancing.
Once I'm out in the real world its a pain in my ass to try and follow all the stupid rules in place.
Its Mother's day and she wants filet mignon and lobster so here I am at Costco waiting for them to open.

I never stopped living as I always do,the numbers don't add up to shut the entire world down, I'm not saying it's a real virus I'm just saying the numbers are bullshit. If I worried about corona virus I would have to worry about every other disease and I just don't give a shit. I never stopped working I have bills to pay. One of the reasons I started working or Oroweat bread 33 years ago as a mechanic was I figured if we ever have another great depression people have to eat .looks like it paid off!

We just talked to a nurse friend today after wishing her Happy Mothers Day & asked her is it as bad as they say. She said the media is horrible, it's the flu with no vaccine, I wish I could say different, but thats the truth.

For some of us , forced closed and still closed business owners , life will never be the same. Will take years , if ever , to get back to normal.

As of now , I have a lot of resentment , towards lots of stuff and people .

I’m not taking some vaccine that is rushed to market to cure a virus that has a .001% chance of killing me anyway. Said vaccine will certainly not have a 100% success rate.

I don’t get yearly flu shots either.

Nope, not at all. I’ve had many influenza vaccinations over the years. But those are from naturally occurring viruses. You realize vaccinations are made “from” the actual virus right? No fucking way I want them injecting me with a synthetic virus made in a Chinese Labratory. Especially from Bill Gates! He’s a Depopulation Fanatic if you didn’t know?

Bill Gates, like most Democrats, is clearly mentally ill. Remember his circumcision deal? That fucking dude is wacked.

And I think we all know how vaccines are made.

Not sure if I agree with the rest of your statement though...

You're saying BG created this virus intentionally, to reduce the population??

Anything is possible I suppose!

Completely over it since day 1. I made "Fuck Newsome" t shirts and hats and went to Havasu for a week spending my hard earned Ca $$s there. Now I'm looking at doing longer term stays since our socialist agenda elitists that trickle down to the County level extended our lockdowns in Ventura because our 75 y/o health official said so..this 75 y/o fuck says everyone in the County needs to stay locked down because he's 75.

I'm not really against vaccines as much as i'm against injecting stuff into my body that a guess.

I started doing some research on the CDC website and couldn't even find any record of a corona virus vaccine ever being viable for humans. Why do we think we'll all of a sudden be able to develop a viable vaccine now? The paper on the CDC website was published in 2016. Also they estimate the virus has mutated between 4-6 times since it was first "discovered". This is a natural process for RNA type viruses, they adapt and gather genetic material from the host.

I think the FAA requirement is 3 takeoff and landings every 90 days- including night ops to keep type rating? The long haul guys are going to be doing some extra training when things open up.

just ran the 26 this weekend with the 4 of us. I’ve got plugs ordered for the 28 to try in 2 weeks since nobody had plugs laying around. Hoping the plugs i ordered are the right diameter. Boat ran great with the 26 even with the motor lifted up a notch.

We are still locked down here in Western NY. Though nobody I know has had the ChiCom Virus, nor has anyone that I know, known anyone who's had it.

It's a damned nightmare. Nothing is open and it doesn't appear that is going to be changing anytime soon.

No picnics, BBQ's, parties, graduations, weddings, church, little league, or retail shopping.

Restaurants are takeout only, and many places are simply closing their doors and surrendering. They cannot make it on food alone, they need the bar revenue too. Many other businesses, after two months with $0 income are calling it quits as well.

I don't expect any changes here until June 1, at the earliest and likely to go to June 15th or July 1.

Not just to reduce the population, but also so he can sell enough vaccine to vaccinate Every person on the planet;)

So this just popped up on my phone. Just thought I would share with you two guys...

You bring up some valid questions about coronavirus vaccines. One issue is typical coronavirus infections (aka the common cold) don't pose a big threat. Secondly, RNA vaccines are relatively new (I believe this to be true, I'd have to double check with the wife). Lastly, the virus has to be present in the population to run trials, it's illegal to infect healthy people with the virus. My uncle is an ENT doctor and he tells me they had developed a vaccine for SARS (which is very close to covid) but it disappeared nearly as quickly as it appeared, so they could never run trials. However when covid appeared, they already had a pretty good start towards a vaccine.

I'm definitely over the plannedemic. I always washed my hands after being in any public situation but, asking people to stop their livelyhood is total BS. If you're old with COPD then yes it makes sense to stay home. But for the rest of us staying home weakens our immune systems. Another thing that weakens your immune system is wearing a mask. On a happy note the traffic during rush hour wasn't bad the last couple of months. I'm not taking any kind of vaccine, never had a flu shot and don't get the flu.
