Regrettable we got a late start out and didn't get a chance to meet some of you Saturday afternoon. We were having such an fun time ripping up the off shore style water by the time we got upriver ya'll were heading back. Its was awesome to see such a large turn out.

Because of the informality of the “meet up” and weather conditions... there wasn’t much racing going on. For any boat to survive the trip up, was an accomplishment.
However, I do know of a certain reverend, who has a certain video, of a certain Nordic, putting some hurt on a couple ..... well, let’s just see if he posts it.

The Liberator hurt a few feelings on Parker strip today, we had a blast.

Awesome - would like to have gotten an extra day of boating in. Family is heading back east in the AM.

I saw one of the church members changing a tire on the side of the 40, tried to pull over but some asshat semi driver wouldn’t let me over. It’s was the guy with the Lavey, he was parked next to me on the beach at pirates. Looked like he was finishing up. Feel bad I couldn’t get over safely once I realized who it was.

The 6 week mark was when it hit the water. It was laminated April 2, running May 14th and on the water May 15th

The 25 hit the water for the first time on Tuesday May 14th at Elsinore.

Looked like fun. How did the boats run in the rough? Which brand did best? DW, Nordic, DCB, Eliminator, Skater???

I ran Bullys 28 Nordic on Saturday. It did very well thru some 2' wind chop south of the island. We went thru the channel then headed north. That's when it got bigger, legit 3 footers. The 2 DW's did very well thru there to the mouth of the river. I tucked in right behind Bully in his 32 DW and was fine. Felt really bad for the smaller boats but several pushed on and made it to Pirates. Didn't get to see any of the DCB or Speedsters or the 35 Nordic run in that bigger water unfortunately. Didn't see any outboard Skaters.
Great weekend, huge thanks to Lauren, Alex & Goose for the ride to & from Havapuddle and the kickass boat rides in Parker.

When we left we thought it was laying down and we ran some good numbers running back to havasu. Got to the bay and it was howling again, I tried to make it work and run across the tops but I couldn’t, there was no consistency to the waves, total slop. Launched completely out of the water a few times and took one over the bow. At that point we just slowed to a crawl and putted back to Windsor.

Wow too big for my little 21. Took a cous over the bow and pulled it out. Headed for Pirates to drop in there.

Definitely exciting! Been a while since thats happened to me.

First time I've ever seen an inflatable inflate.

This mustang inflatable is about 8 years old now

As an aside I'm impressed with it, it inflated when the boat swamped - held air two days and only needed three puff to bring it back to full

Gotta recharge and fold it back now.

Great seeing Lazy, the guy I was chatting to about the tuff - meeting Bully and War Canoe, Rc Dave, Slant6....

Great fun, peeps, and hardware -

thanks!

Well, the conditions didn’t accommodate much direct racing, I’d have to say the 35’ Nordic was the biggest hammer in the tool box. I was impressed with all the little boats that made the journey across the lake and up the river...It was ugly out there and only the brave went for it.
I’d say top speed of the bunch was Bully’s Nordic...
Overall, I’d say the DW’s were class of the field for the ability to do it all, and look like they do. But Jimmys new DCB M28 was sparkling like a new blue sapphire, so ultimately it was personal choice as all these boats were spectacular...

Yep 10 hours from Havasu to Simi Valley. Thanks for thinking about me but at that time I was good, just pulled the wheel and chained up an axel. The bad day started on Hwy 18 when the other tire blew from rubbing the fender on bumps. My Son came and bailed me out!

It was a great week and the Church meetup was a great time. Thanks to Bully, War and RD (as well as anyone else that helped put it together). I had lots of great boat talk with everyone. The only comment I could make for next time is name tags with everybody's RDP handle.

It was great to meet everyone. What a great group of people. I launched from Windsor in my 22’ Cougar, thought about turning back after a few “Victory at Sea” wave over the bow events on the lake. Once on the river all was good, and fast! I thought the Pirates staff did a great job with helping as we showed up and food and service was great for a group....well done.

Staff at Pirates did a GREAT job. I searched out the manager & thanked them along with giving our waitress an additional $20 for her awesome service.

Food at Pirates in usually mediocore at best. It was actually really good this time I thought, or I ordered the right thing lol. The guy helping us said everything had changed ,and it tasted like it. Service was better also.
