Official unofficial traning day for newbies..

It has been offered by some, to take us fruitloop newbies out on a body of water, and learn us in the ways of the Jedi..

Basically the fun runs are nice, but I'd really like to get out in my boat, with some people that know what THEY ARE doing, and learn.. I know there are other people in my position, that'd like to do the same.

The idea of just coming out, and either skiing in, or observing, pulling etc.. in a race or organized event, especially being very "green" is a bit much to start out.

I'll have my boat back here locally in S.D. after thanksgiving.. Or I can tow it back to Parker, or wherever, puddingstone? etc..

We can hit the water for a bit Thanksgiving weekend. Perhaps the best ski ride I have ever had at Parker was on Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend last year!

I may be out there thanksgiving weekend. If not I can pretty much make anything held in So Cal through the off season. Lake Elsinore Is probably your best bet besides Parker if you want to run at a little higher speeds.

we are planning the region 2 beginers day to be at lake elsinore (so we dont have to rent the water) ill be annoucing dates pretty soon but im thinking we will do it at the beginning of next year....closer to race time

I will be out at the Vesley's a bunch through the off season. Even if its with Brian's tournament boat. But maybe I can convince you to run the 20 now and then.

I missed JT getting up. That was all Brian and Amy. But he got close the day before with me in the boat. Either way he's welcome for a ski ride when ever he wants.

I'd like to keep this as minimally "structured" as possible in the interest of FUN, but there are some minimal levels of organization to pull this off, and make it beneficial to the newbies.

That being said I think we should meet at 9:00 at Badenochs for breakfast / meet & greet with some basic questions / answers.. After that break into groups of 3 - 4 per boat and go learn what we came to learn. Friday Evening BBQ at my place 6:30 pm. Anybody on the Cali side that wants a ride over, I'll go pick up in my boat to save them the drive all the way around.

I will leave what boats we use, and how we break up into groups until Friday morning.

As it sits though, 5 rookies, 5 veterans.. 1 on 1 learning... Public school's eat your heart out.

Thanks RD, Friday AM it is. FYI, the SCSC circle races are Friday & Saturday. Last I checked, Dave Chandler was running PS 855 so he may be out.

I would like to help out but thanksgiving is a bad time for me, I will be in northern california for the entire week. Anytime other than that near socal I can do. I have a 19 ft spectra that can be used as well.
