Over Thanksgiving week Shadow serviced the trailer. Got a slip at the springs and put the boat in it to get it off the trailer for them.

I was under the impression I had oil bath hubs, turned out I had bearing buddies with metal caps over them. I never greased them! 😳

So Shadow did a tandem axle service, checked all the bearings and found a couple bearings and races that needed replacing. Yikes, glad that was found and taken care of.

Also made the guide bars taller which necessitated better attachment to the trailer. They were able to match the trailer color with paint, unfortunately they don't powder coat there.

Also, I noticed some rust spots around the bunk attachments to the trailer, turned out they had rusted through so ground that out and rewelded and repainted.

Finally they fixed a rear light, replaced the winch strap and leveled the trailer fenders.

As for the boat, it just needs seasonal service which I'll schedule with Barrett for next spring. The boat was already at Teague for some troubleshooting (coil went bad) and they checked everything else.

Looking forward to next season!

Boats going to Saleen next week. Pretty much the only thing that will happen for winter upgrades. Other hobbies taking over 🤣

Took the boat in to get some work done on the sponsons for beach rash touch-up and the transom for some spider cracks in the gel coat. Turns out when they removed the Outboard Motor whoever installed it originally didn’t seal the holes properly and now I need a whole new transoms as it’s rotted out. Yay Me!! 😜

Glad I took it in or next summer could have been a disaster. 😮
