Just terrible that this CEO was killed in a targeted assassination in New York. The cops sure do have their hands full in that town.

I hope they catch the guy; I'd like to know the motive. Sad Deal.

“According to a release from United Healthcare on Tuesday, he would announce the company's hugely profitable 2025 financial outlook, including expected revenues upwards of $450 billion”

Sounds like “Epstein” shenanigans. Wonder what he knew. Crazy someone could seek out a ceo like that near a hotel with so many people around and nobody saw nothing?

You need to think on a much bigger scale. Of course it was a hit. Those revolve around large amounts of money. Nobody gives a fuck about his wallet. Hence the 450 billion announcement in the other comment.
Which brings me right back to my original question, what the fuck happened, how does killing the CEO change anything?

I'm going with something in his personal life got him killed. Could be business or because he was head of UHC, but how many CEO's are gunned down in a target hit? Can't be many. Considering this was outside a hotel and not a publicly disclosed meeting location (such as the location of the investor meeting). Who was privy to his travel schedule or specifically his stay at that hotel?

Wonder where his security detail was?

Didn't realize it was CEO hunting season.. Some of these folks might want to be careful. Their grand paychecks and taking away from the minions might have finally reached a tipping point. Why does any CEO need to make multiple millions ( I don't know what he made) while the benefits get cut and more is demanded from the workers for less.

Why is it an assassination? Why isn't it a straight homicide or crime of opportunity?

Just because he's a CEO makes it one? Maybe he's a rich idiot and pissed off his coke supplier.

I think the silencer was messing with the pressure, forcing it to be a single action. Also looks like it jammed.
With every shot? Didn’t think about the silencer reducing back pressure.

looked like his gun had issues after shot 1. Which im guessing is why there was lower leg wound.

Watch the JACKEL, it just came. 100% this was a hit.

He had none from what I'm hearing. Hard to believe that some random guy can roll up on a bicycle, walk into a corporate office, and just unload a few rounds into the CEO of one of the largest corporations in America. Apparently this is not the CEO's home office and he came in 90 minutes earlier than expected. It has all the sights & smells of a Planned Hit if you ask me. A disgruntled employee or family member of a deceased insured would not have that information.

Someone’s claim was denied and a family member has died…

Dad, husband, son (?) was mad as hell and did something about it.

If I had to guess.

He was shot on the street in front of the Hilton Hotel. Then ran and found a NY City e bike.

That’s not what happened -
He was getting ready to present at an investor meeting and was outside the hotel entrance.

CEO of a $100b company has no personal security? That's not normal. A CEO of that caliber would have full-time security.

$100B, the market cap is $562 Billion. You can bet the new CEO will have full security detail along with other restrictions on how the person travels. At least in the short/mid time period.

The bystander is lucky they didn't get shot considering they likely got a partial look at the individual. Damn.

Not always.
He should have had a driver (security) for his trip. But they don’t follow him anround 24/7. That kicks in when outside the US (K&R requirement). His security was most likely in the car he was waiting for

Exactly, CEO and high level execs in big companies usually have people. Highly trained people.
