I dunno if it's been posted in this thread, and I dunno if anyone's interested, but there's an easy way to convert miles per hour to feet per second. Multiply the speed in MPH by 1.5 and that'll put you really close to speed in FPS.

The figure is actually MPH X 1.4667 but AFAIK no one on RDP is interested or capable of performing such a complex operation.

So 100 MPH is basically 150 FPS. Doing the math gives one insight into the speed running at the nice round number and allows you to contemplate speed from a different perspective. Given that an average reaction time is about 1 second if you're really on the ball, this shows you that it's pretty important to keep your head on a swivel when you're airing it out.

I have this happen all the time, in fact almost every time headed north from site 6 to the river...boats coming at me head on.... I change corse and head to the right....as we get closer he heads to his left:eek... wtf...so I go closer to shore...so does he... by now i'm stopped and off plane.....I say learn to drive it's free:thumbsup he say fuc you, I go where ever I want...:rolleyes

the next thing.... out in the big water(the pond part of havasu) headed north to the river... boat to my right is gonna hit me coming from the channel.... I'm in the stand down boat so I slow the speed alter my coarse to the right...you guessed it... mr nice guy also slows way down...now I'm in a collision coarse again... slow more and more to the right

same thing... now we are both at idle speed.... I say you need to learn to drive... he says the same and adds that he slowed down to let me pass...and don't tell him how to drive

I say you are the stand on boat... suspposed to maintain your speed... he says " I gonna stand on your old fuc'n head if you don't stand the fuc outta hear....lol... I jump in his boat and beat the fuc out of him...that's my side of the story... sue's side says... never knew my cheetah could take off sooo fast....

I'm not like bildoe and able to go to foxes and beat the fuc out of every one there......maybe on sr. bingo night....
