According to Summer Richardson, NHRA has ended her 2025 season due to the banning of her title sponsor, Onlyfans.

Richardson said “My 2025 season was shutdown this week by NHRA due to my title sponsor. They have banned me as a OnlyFans Sponsored Athlete! I am devastated! As everyone in this sport knows how expensive it is to compete at TAD level and above you need that corporate backing. NHRA has allowed me to run my title sponsor; OnlyFans for 2 years!”
“What is so horrific about the entire thing is how NHRA handled it! I understand the reasoning as to why they did it, but this should have been a warning to me in 2024. Shutting down my season 1 month before I’m scheduled to hit the track, with contracts that have been signed for months and funds distributed. Very disheartening. So this being said, as of right now I will not be competing in any NHRA events for the 2025 season. I honestly haven’t been to an NHRA event since I left Pomona 37 years ago. I just hate to see anyone lose their sponsorship. Don’t know if she had been warned prior to this, but she should have been notified earlier than a month before the season begins.

To answer the above question about if NHRA was sponsored by Pornhub, what would that actually change about the event other then maybe a few signs ? The cars and the people will be the same there would not be orgies everywhere. NHRA isn't drawing well now and I don't think this will change anything other then screwing over one of their own.

I’m not convinced it was without any warning at all, or at least an indication of possibility, regardless of what she says.

It’s hard to imagine that one day NHRA just said “hey cancel this girls sponsor, they’re bad…”
Either the NHRA has been being pressured by their own sponsors or others, or something like that, or they’ve been in negotiation for at least the off season.

My guess is that her contracts were signed knowing that the possibility at least existed that they may be nullified.

Every event I’ve been to (I’ll crack 70 national events this year) for all these years is sold out or close to sold out.

As a previous racing sanction owner and promoter, I have almost NO sympathy for race car drivers. Like maybe none.

The sanction provides a platform to compete and develop an income, all while enjoying an enthusiast passion. There are people lined up to enjoy this opportunity to race a car on the main stage. Figure out how to provide value to your sponsors without diminishing the brand of the sanction, or find another hobby. The sanction owes you nothing, you are the monkey in the circus.
