In all seriousness, I see where they are coming from with a lot of kids going to the races. The shitty part is that she has run this sponsor for 2 season without a word. Then they make their decision a few weeks before the season starts knowing all that goes into getting a team ready and the money spent. Pretty chicken shit of NHRA they could have addressed this at the end of last season.

To play devils advocate how is it any different than RDP sponsoring anything that is family oriented? We have our Good Morning, Melon Monday, and Thong Thursday threads. We get to choose to open them up or not just like any page on Only Fans, not all of them are porn.
It’s my understanding that the new CEO of Only Fans is a woman trying to steer the platform away from porn and into an action sport platform. I don’t believe there’s a snowball’s chance in hell making that happen because porn people don’t need sponsors and action sports people do for a reason.
Sponsorship is really hard to get for professional and sportsman racers yet required for most to participate, no racing exists because of prize money. Sanctioning bodies need racers and should work with them. Maybe it’s possible for Summer and NHRA to showcase the action sport part of the business the same way Dave sells his sponsors on the fact that this is primarily a boating site and avoids the fact that many of us like looking at women that are way out of our league.

Although there are PLENTY of people in the US paying for content, the vast majority of the transactions through OF (or lots of other platforms that allow nude/sexual content) is from over seas. Many of the "free" porn sites that we can view in the US are not allowed to be viewed in other countries so you get these men (and women) paying to view the content. Most of the content creators can be seen via a google search because they don't have the means to keep up with the reporting it takes to keep the leaks off the open net.

Do I think OF needs to be a title sponsor on the side of her car? No. Do I understand the arguments for it, Yes.

And I 100% agree with Tommy that when he and Vic are the voice of reason, we are already in a state of concern!!!

Honest to god I was an adult when I realized that Winston Cup and Winston Drag Racing were sponsored by a cigarette company. Even growing up going to the races I didn't put 2 and 2 together. I just thought it was all because of some dude named Winston. My best friend thought the same thing. It was not until they made a big deal about the tobacco companies that we put it together. Looking back I guess we just did not pay that much attention to that side of the sport. That being said I hate to see anyone have a sponsorship deal that the sanctioning body says is a no go. Finding money to go racing is close to impossible.

I remember the cigarette tents at the races, and the girls that would work out front flirting with guys as they walked by. They were fully clothed BTW. One year at Vegas they had show girls from down on Fremont Street at the tent, that was kind of cool.

But I will say that a model in a great swimsuit is something completely different from OF. There is a difference and NHRA evidently thinks so too.

We did good with our kids they had to participate in sports had school and had to have a job when they were in high school in return we bought then nice cars and trucks and motorcycles they never had a minute to get in trouble

I believe OF had a campaign to get away from the porn stigma so they were sponsoring athletes (typically still good looking in a bikini) to show a different side. I believe Summer was a part of that campaign.

Porn is everywhere and I highly doubt some kid is going to find it for the first time seeing it on the side of a drag car.

Parents think they’re in control when it comes to porn. They’re not lol. Especially today. I came from the generation that crushed the family computer with limewire downloads. Now you can go literally anywhere on a phone, iPad, TV etc.

I fully agree and support parents deciding what is appropriate for their children to be exposed to. But I find it laughable that a professional organization that has used sex to sell tickets is now going to decide how much sex is too much.

I have never been on Only Fans, but I don't think Summer/ Mrs Swoop has adult content on her Only Fans. When she got sponsored, she had said that OF was working on promoting topics other than adult content and that she was sponsored as an athlete to promote that type of use for OF.

I live less than an hour from "Elite Motorsports" and know all about the Freeman family and what they are doing in NHRA. They have built a great pro stock field. Now they are moving into top fuel as well.

Summer and her husband seemed like good folks when I met them at DS one year.
They used to launch their Howard sportdeck at the Islander, so I have run into them a few times and they alwasy were nice. That said, I always thought she sexed it up too much. When she signed with OF, I did not think that was a good move. Between her alwasy sexing things up and her OF contract, her ability to be a role model for younger girls was limited.

In a nutshell the goal is for her to work her way up the ladder into a feuler someday. Her dad was successful and he's been funding the racing for the three of them for some time now but, racing is expensive and cultivating sponsorships is difficult so when OF came on board it was seen as a step forward. I don't know how well she's doing in racing but she has always been one to want to be behind the wheel of anything and learn from any mistakes made.
I'm a bit old school so I would prefer the media focus to be more on her ability rather than her looks but you know what they say about opinions
I'm not gonna name drop but I've got multiple friends who have been, and are currently racing in NHRA (some of them multi time champions at the highest level) and from the stories I've heard NHRA is not easy to deal with and finding sponsorship is very difficult so you take what you can get.
