So my brother and sister in law just moved down from “The Bay Area” and love to tell everyone! I said I wouldn’t go around telling everyone that. My brother in law gets it but sister in law still has this fantasy that people will think highly of them for being from “the Bay Area”.

We’ll they moved into their house and about the third week the neighbor who has a couple motorcycles and a camper with a nice American flag out front introduced himself and my brother in law said they moved from up north but sister in law gets excited and just can’t help her self and blurts out yeah “from the Bay Area”.

Brother in law told me the other day the neighbor hasn't talked to them since.

Unfortunately a camera is such a good and bad thing. If the person was standing there watching you in the pool, well, you could work it out there, maybe? But a camera is just a piece of property, and if you destroy someone else's property, while you are on video doing it.....................

Believe it or not, we do not have a right to privacy. Another tricky issue. Is there anywhere in the constitution about a right to privacy? (4th amendment is kind of useless without it) But the right to privacy is right next to abortion rights.............or health care rights..........................

Life's too short. Keep it and move. Divide the rooms with curtains and hire a bunch of Filipinos to do end of life care, or do a half way house methadone deal. Either way you can end that lease and move back when the situation changes... or not . Real estate is a good hedge against inflation in a good location . You don't have to be miserable during its appreciation process .

I can tell you how to solve this one really quick... I did it in Havasu. Our 2 neighbors are great....the third and who is a city employee who decided to build a "pervert wack it shack" (patio overlooking ours and the neighbor's pool) ADU mis-permitted as a garage violating multiple setbacks... over a winter when no one was around... There is now a Large wall/fence blocking the view at their cost. I have two daughters...it was going to get solved or I was going to go to prison. We're not on speaking terms...and that's fine by me.

I think the fact that it's a cop is a good thing. Public employees are under a microscope. I would start with his superiors, his sergeant may be his buddy and cover for him. Try his Lt. them move up to Captain, Chief, City manager, even council member if need be. One of them is going to think this guy is not worth the time to deal with him and I don't want to protect this dumb shit. Then someone will tell him to knock it off or there will be some consequences. Cops are held to a higher standard. Fact is, what he is doing may not be illegal, but it is creepy, and law enforcement doesn't want creepy people working with them.
