Yup. At boat drags years ago a guy parked his truck blocking our way out. Went around nearby pits asked who owns truck no one knew my patience wore out as we had to go. I decide to drag a floor jack out. Suddenly someone knew who’s truck it was.

It was a pit I asked who owns it and I know they all said they didn’t know who’s it was. Guy who owned it I looked at while asking the first time. He said he I thought I was talking about another truck but I was pointing to the one I needed moved to leave and it was clear which truck. Told him it’s blocking our exit parking was real tight as it was but he knew he was blocking.

Just told him move it so we can get out then pull right back in and don’t be an ass next time.

This is why I want to bring the wrecker to the races. And be able to help with motor swaps.

Yes. Block what would be a two parking area by taking up the middle
I get I don’t own the road or what’s in front of my house. But damn. It’s intentional
I would start parking in front of their home. I have literally bought an additional car just to play neighbor games. I know it's horrible and not Christian like, but some people are just A holes and need to be put in their place.

When I lived in San Diego close to the ocean, I had a neighbor that would scream at me when I would work on my car stating that I was killing the dolphins. People are nuts!

I have one neighbor that cuts my Christmas lights every year. I'm pretty sure I know who it is, but thinking I may put a ring camera out this year and catch him in the act.

It's hard for me to complain too much though because I let my kid ride my pit bike up and down the street every couple weeks and I know it pisses people off. Even had a retired fireman scream and my kid and walk down to my house to get in my face. I don't know what he was thinking as he was in a back and neck brace.

Maybe the retired firefighter was looking to add to his retirement by having you kick his ass while wearing neck and back braces.

I’ve never understood this.
We have kids on dirt bikes and quads running around all the time.
I’d rather see them riding to and from their riding spot vs sitting here n the corner smoking weed or worse, and also better than the kids that sit in front a computer all day getting fat.
I’ve been know to make a rip or two also. Never had anyone complain. Many folks in the neighborhood are into desert and dirt toys, so🤷‍♂️

I live in the wrong area! San Diego is not what it used to be. Making a change in the near future to improve my whole families enjoyment.

Hope your doing well!

Just got home from work. A couple guys driving a nothing special mid engine VW powered sand rail around.
Probably just worked on it and shaking things down.

And if you move in around here?
I’d suggest @sintax end of the street.😎
All the trouble makers live over there😂

The new spin. They put a camera that is aimed right at my property. I walk out on my front porch and they are recording me. So far I just bring my flashlight out and zap back for as long as I’m out there. Might need a laser pointer.

Make a reflective sign that says “Get a Life”, mount it so it’s in the center of their picture.
I’ll have to look for a flag that says something similar.
So far I have just added a welcome to our home and happy Halloween flag to constantly set off his motion sensor and just annoy him with alerts every minute or so. 🤷

I wonder if, at some point, there will be some kind of privacy issue with this. I understand your front yard/driveway/etc is not a private place, but at what point does someone have the right to record you and your property without your permission? With more and more of these cameras in place, I see this becoming an issue. We have them, but there is plenty of space between neighbors that they don't record any property except ours.

My understanding is. Anything you can see out in the open is fair game.
That said. I would never purposely point or direct one mine to aim directly at a neighbors area.
As you can see mine does cover all the way across the street in viewing mode. Motion sensors are set from my cars and closer. And mailbox to left of yard. To each their own I guess
But if I see a camera pointing over my backyard checking out people while enjoying the pool or sunbathing. We would probably have a big problem.

My neighbors camera covers my side yard and honestly i think it's fucked up . If i wanted my house being recorded i would put up cameras. There is no reason to record somebody elses property including there front yard . Your lights should not shine on another persons property either .

I would say yes and same with anybody recording onto your front property line .
As I said my sensors only go off basically if you are on the sidewalk but get your point as once they do I do record the previous picture area. ( but not specifically pointed at someone’s porch as is now my issue).
I adjusted it a bit. Better?

Also heading out for my grandsons 7th birthday party so most of this just meaningless banter. Lol.

… I can set my neighbors directly across the street from me… I can set their flood lights off just by walking through my living room… I seriously doubt that they have sensors inside my house….How I found this out is if I leave my front door open..a crack…I can see their flood lights blasting the front of my house… and I mean blasting???… They are somewhat illegally operating an shipping company out of their home???..,
… Have I said anything to them???…… not yet…🤷🏽‍♀️

It's my understanding that you can't record behind a neighbors gate/fence, it's considered a private area. What ever can't be seen from the street is private.

I’ve got no desire to see what my neighbors are up to. But I shoot our front cameras across the street to the sidewalk. Because I do want to see vehicles & their license plates (hopefully).

Side angles and back yard cover our property only. We have hedges all the way around so whatever we “could” see is negligible.

The more you can capture on cameras the better assuming you're not invading anybody's privacy. My neighbors love that we have cameras all over on the street level after we had a ton of shit happening.

I've caught an Amazon driver taking a picture of something he dropped off & took it back (Amazon made right on it).

Got the necessary recording for a stalker at a neighbors house & haven't seen him since the cops dealt with it. They came and asked.

Filmed these guys driving around weekly taking shit from all our mailboxes. I put one on the mailbox & a second on the fence. Never seen them after they did it one more time but must've noticed the cameras.

This all in the last year. Film on my friend just not inside your neighbors fence or house. I don't see a problem filming the front of their house that everybody in the world can see anyway. They'll appreciate it if they have something happen and need to see what happened sometime.

So you have no problem somebody filming your children playing in there own front yard ? How about your wife out washing the car ? Is it only considered creepy if I setup a tripod and a 80s recorder in my drive way or better if i do it secretly ? What happens past the side walk should not be recorded on my property .

I’m in agreement with you. But if you want that kind of privacy you shouldn’t live in a neighborhood.

Meaning you can’t control what your neighbors do so you mine as well remove the idea of neighbors if you want true privacy.

You can engage in some passive RF warfare, most of those amazon consumer security cameras run off 2.4ghz, you can get any wireless radio/AP that you can run a directional antenna off of and saturate one of the 3 bands that thing is going to be running on (1,6 or 11) and it will never get the video back to the cloud for recording :)

It will be interesting to see how much you let them into your head before you just go over and knock and have a conversation. I know you have said it wouldn’t work.

I have had asshole neighbors before, they acted like assholes till I confronted them about it. They usually end up back pedaling. Everyone is so passive aggressive now days and they don’t expect to be confronted about it. Someone cuts you off in traffic and flips you off, they are usually tough till you get to a red light then they slide down in their seat and don’t look over. A guy passed me on my street two weeks ago as I’m doing 20 in a 25 and there’s kids in a power wheel on the sidewalk. He throws his hand out the window and keeps flying to his house. I walked over and knocked. It took 4 knocks before he decided I wasn’t going to go away from not answering. He acknowledged he was wrong and apologized, and now waves at me when I see him.

I’d go knock.

Back to parking cars

My neighbor across has a shit stain for a kid.
We live on a narrow private drive street it’s like 18 ft wide in some spots.

I asked the SS to not park in the middle of our driveway on their side of the street. That makes backing out of our driveway difficult.

So guess where he needs to park every day… exactly where I asked him NOT to park….

So one day, I got up at 4:30 am walk over and ring the doorbell, call the land line phone from their frt porch to wake up the entire house ….

Let them know I needed to go to work and he needed to move his car…..

When I left for work at 8 am the car was moved !
LoL

The neighbor dad came over and said he will not be parking there ever again….

shortly after that they kicked him out of the house - Time to grow up

I've been in my house 40+ years so I've seen a lot of neighbors come and go, most good, but some can be difficult.

Had a neighbor once tell me my front porch light (normal fixture with 100W bulb) shined in his window and could I turn it off at 9pm. I explained to him that when someone in the family is still out we are going to leave the light on for them, but he got all pissed off about it and stormed off.

That same guy did provide some entertainment for us. He had a big pine tree in his yard that he would string Xmas light on. We watched him start at the top with a ladder and wrap the lights around and around the tree each year. It became a family event we actually looked forward to watching each year. He ran an extension cord from the garage to the tree. We all watched with anticipation as he picked up the end of the light string and the extension cord only to realize he had two female ends. He did it about 3 years out of the 5 he lived next door to us.

I've been in a parking war with the across the street neighbor for years now. Couple of years back I told my wife we were done with the war, they had kids our sons age and we should all be friends. couple of weeks later I have my truck parked in front of their house during street sweeping, and I wasn't able to move it until the next morning. Before I had a chance to move it back to my side she parked her car in front of my house a foot into my driveway. I decided I wouldn't do anything. We karma was on my side. The next door neighbor of the parking warrior backed out of her driveway and hit crazy neighbors car, and I was there to see the whole thing. What a great day.

Exactly what I was thinking. I would run one across the backyard on your side of the wall. It sucks that you have to even think about something like this.

Any chance you can get him to join RDP and we can straighten him out? 😄
Can't you get him one with the logo on it?
