This Friday at 10:50 my Jackson goes in for surgery too remove his ostomy and reconnect his small intestine to what remains of his colon. The surgery should take about 3 hours and he will be in the hospital for 1 to 2 weeks depending on how fast he recovers. His last surgery he was released 9 days later and that surgery was a lot more traumatic and he was very sick. Now he is just over 4 moths old and is tipping the scales at about 12 lbs. It would be great to have him home for Memorial Day. All of your prayers are appreciated. Here is a pic from him yesterday on the way for some pre-op tests and scans...

Thank you everyone for the prayers and well wishes...it means a ton. I will definitely post updates as I can.

We are holding up pretty well...we have amazing doctors and support system. I am a little nervous very optimistic and surprisingly calm (that will go away I'm sure when they take him from us into surgery). My wife is amazing and is very strong for all of us. We lean on each other in times like this and it works out very well.

I have known you for a long time, both through ski racing and the river community. I haven't known Summer nearly as long, but do know you both have huge hearts. It's an unfair shame that Jackson has been presented with such challenges so early in life, but can't wait to see him on skis!
