I had a similar experience, eating dinner on an outside patio on Christmas Eve in Cabo. Things got crazy and all the police vehicles were out. Heard a few screams before I saw Santa on the back of a fire engine throwing candy to the local kids, haha.

On our Senior trip for high-school we we went to Puerto Vallarta. My Buddy wants to go buy some Coke. He finds a guy and we try and talk him out of it. Next thing you know a cab pulls up. My Buddy is like remember the cab number. 20 minutes later we all forget it and keep partying. About 2 hours later we remember he was gone. We're all thinking he is dead. About 10 minutes later He shows up blasted out of his mind. He had made some new friends. He then busts out a half ounce and says Let's fucking party. What a great trip. I had brought a half ounce of Medical and got the green light on the way over. I be friended the owner of a local bar and we drank everything he had. Good Times!

I was just saying you said “I don’t know if it’s true” and in the first post there was a lady saying she heard the same story 20 years ago..

There’s no conceptual proof in either direction.

That said do I think bad things can happen in Mexico? Absolutely..

But you don’t see me cruising the streets of Oakland, Chicago, LA, New York, or at least a dozen other cities that come to mind.. Atlanta, KC, St Louis etc..


I literally just drove 4 1/2 hours at night across Baja.. not something I’d recommend but I’d rather do that then go through the inner cities of America
