I’m sure it can happen just about anywhere but at least in Texas. Maybe there was a chance of it being prosecuted and the perpetrators caught. Not so sure that would happen in Mexico.

In the US if you live to tell or even if you don't the police will be involved and a good chance someone would be arrested in Mexico not so much and you can't trust the police or anyone else to help you

I packed up early to beat the border traffic.... me, my Hottie, 3 young boys,
150k toys, Truck, Trailer, bikes etc..

Federally setting up check point between both toll booths... not completely set up... kids with AK'S giving me the stink eye as I drove on by...

That was enough for me.... I never wanted my family to be put in the same situation as you LIVED thru..
