She was all pumped up and jumped out of the work van from the front seat and blew it out.
Vet says she needs surgery to repair it. 12 weeks of no stairs, no play, no climbing on and off the couch, etc.
The hard part will be getting her in and out of the house.
I'll have to carry her up and down 14 stairs. Plus, our whole house is pretty much hardwood floors. Slick for a 3-legged pup.
Almost 30 years ago, my 1st Rotti did the same thing at about 2 years old. Got it fixed, and she blew the other knee 6 months later
Got it fixed, and she was all good the rest of her life.
Tesa is almost 10. 11 is the oldest any of my 4 Rotties and 4 of my buddies rotts have lived to.
I have mixed feelings about the surgery.
She's really active and healthy for 9 years old. She's little for a Rotti. But she's getting old, and I've really seen her slow down over the last year.
Vet thinks she's got a few more years in her, and she's healthy enough to get the surgery. He also says she will most likely blow the other one out within a year.
Anybodies pup ever have
this injury and it healed on its own?
