It racks up in a hurryI passed two semi's yesterday. Each one had ONE counter wieght on each trailer.
It's hard to even imagine how much it must cost to have one of those cranes on a job...

Here is a shot from a customer in SLC. A bit of boom deflection on a 550 ton. On this crane the counterweights can retract so you don't have to shut down a lane of traffic.FUCK THAT SHIT. Just looking at that picture my balls retracted into my body. Hell fucking no
SLC hotel/Convention center! Had a part in that Jobsite (mostly on convention center side) .Always loved how the Tower cranes are broken down and also the way they get jumped up a section. Here is a shot from a customer in SLC. 660 ton crawler lifting 300,000 lb precast tilt panels View attachment 1108644 View attachment 1108645
Awesome lift. So on tilt ups - I wonder if an anchor pulls out and it damages Crane, does contractor insurance pay damages. Maybe contractor and Crane are the same company on these big tilt ups.
The rigging crew is primarily responsible for the lifting gear. Failures do happen though.Awesome lift. So on tilt ups - I wonder if an anchor pulls out and it damages Crane, does contractor insurance pay damages. Maybe contractor and Crane are the same company on these big tilt ups.
I have butterflies in my stomach just looking at that. No way I go up in that.Out paint job at NASA is going well. Big wall needs a big 150 foot articulated boom lift. Good for in 20 plus gusts. View attachment 1108735 View attachment 1108736
It’s a blast HB. Great views. Even go higher for rocket launches. Gotta be able to see over the building.I have butterflies in my stomach just looking at that. No way I go up in that.
Done lots of Tower cranes in my career and never dismantled one that close to a finished building. That's a real challenge to pull off, especially in the wind...SLC hotel/Convention center!
