This is exactly why I bet $5 on over 6.5 rounds

Aside from a great girls fight it’s 4 and a half hours I will not get back. Paul didn’t impress me he’s 30 years younger and could not knock out Iron Mike. Mike is still a Bad ass

I think after round 4 Jake could have knocked Mike out at any point if he wanted to. I felt like he was going easy on mike on the last few rounds.

Paul could have taken Mike down at any moment......watch the last 3 rounds again, Paul was deliberately missing the big right jab. As much as I wanted to see Mike win, Paul had him easily covered this was all about money and Jake Paul promoting himself.

Gotta say, I'm less of a Tyson fan after seeing the Che Guevara and Mao tattoos.

I can't remember Netflix ever streaming a live event before?

They should have had this on Prime.

Tyson got payed 20 mil to stand for 8 rounds…that is all.
Yea, I think Jake Paul was paid to not make him look too bad. Tyson just needed some coin & smiling all the way to the bank. All Star Wrestling, lol. The chicks were no joke though, they were the highlight. Damn they threw a lot of punches!

Paul as much as said after the fight that he wasn’t trying to knock Tyson out. Personally, I think it would have hurt Paul’s self-promotion if he had.

I was rooting for Tyson, but when Jake gave thanks to the vets and the people that keep America going…he gained a little respect.
Unfortunately I don’t believe him. I think he said it to save face because he was getting booed.

He doesn’t even live in the U.S.

Paul needs to fight someone real in his next fight if he wants to continue boxing lots would watch just to see him get his ass kicked by a guy his own age. If he would have knocked out Tyson he would be the most hated man in America.

… this may sound strange, but I was sufficiently entertained watching it on YouTube …the highlights anyway… Mike Tyson looked exactly as he was …a 58 year old man… still wouldn’t want to piss him off🤷🏽‍♀️

First round I thought this might be good. 1/2 way into rd 2, nah, it’s over. Jake could have abused him after 3, but he didn’t.
That entrance was gay. Tysons was class.
I got my money’s worth on just the women’s fight.

did not get to watch last night as Netflix started freezing up every 15 seconds during the girls fight. A very disappointing night for Netflix trying to prove it can handle live events. Glad I didn't go out to watch the fight

This whole thing reminds me of the great kayfabe that Andy Kaufman and Jerry Lawler pulled. The difference is that they were better actors and did it to promote their sport, not for the money like these guys did.

"IN THE END"!! Who cares? Everyone who Bought In, Watched, OR? knew exactly what they were getting into, and for whatever reason to watch it was entertainment and "IF" you are Upset or feel Cheated.

This is going to be a Difficult Life.

Maybe I'm the odd guy here...
It was free is you had Netflix so that's good
It brought back one our age idols. It wasn't actual WWE. It wasn't MAA.
It brought revenue to that area
Mike went from mildly rich (compared to before) back to real rich
He was out of shape smoking weed to a fucking beast and we got to see that human process.
It WASNT the same horrible Friday TV, it was at least something else.

I don't like Paul, but I don't really know the guy. He seemed like a dick before. Less of a dick now. A few comments he made after helped my opinion.

Mikes comments after made it more worth watching. Sure he got massive cash for it. But I think he really wanted to test himself at 58.
That in itself is admirable and for me made it enjoyable to watch.

Now the commentators were absolutely horrible.

I did not like Jake one bit before last night, once Tyson showed he could not move much at all (Tyson lost his fighting legs 100%) and was very off balanced after getting hit with decent but not knock out shots by Jake, I knew there would be absolutely no chance for him engage for a decent fight. Jake pulled back his power punches from the 5th round to the end I personally think out of respect for Tyson. Tyson still had some head movement left but he was Done as a pro boxer and should never step into the ring again or risk getting seriously hurt. This was a 40 million dollar pay day for Jake and 20 mil for Tyson, both walked away wealthy and I say good for them. After I saw Jakes closing remarks I have to give it too him for his props to America and his obvious support for Trump, and last but not least his obvious respect and admiration for Tyson. Netflix announcers, including most of the celebs were a joke to have on there.

From Tyson's training videos he looked in shape are ready to go. An absolute animal. But, those were produced videos. Just like a Rocky movie.

For the first minute of the fight I feel like Mike gave it an effort for show, landing a punch on Jake that you could see surprised him. Then they settled into their agreed upon plan of lasting to the end and splitting the pot. That was always what was gonna happen. We fans could only hope Mike would get pissed and lose his temper. That didn't happen. Not surprising, just a bit disappointing.

I heard many rumors that If Mike knocked Jake out, Mike would not get paid. Mike is no honorable character, as I recall he was a thug and an accused rapist. And a boxing legend. I don't hold him out as some sort of a hero. Its cool he came from nothing and got out, and got rich, but don't pretend he has some hero. He would totally take the money and laugh all the way to the bank. He's had plenty of shady fights that were semi rigged. Don King made sure of it.

That holding his glove in his mouth thing. Was that Mike's string around his finger? Reminding him not to throw that punch. Sure seems like it.

You may have heard him talk about his legacy. He said he doesn't give a 💩 about it in yesterday's interview with that young lady.
When he turned around in those assless trunks he was being cheeky, literally. Right there he showed he wasn't taking it seriously. It was a visually painful signal.

The promoters sold a lot of tickets, made a lot of money, got a ton of new Netflix subscribers and made a bunch of us host get togethers. That's a win. The chick fighters put on an amazing show. They had more heart than any of the men's fights. More people may watch those battles again in the future. That's a win for boxing.

Tyson vs Paul was a promotional show. They never lied to us. That's how they billed it. But us old guys still wanted Iron Mike to show he still had it. The fact he didn't leave it all out there, that is what I find disappointing. I wanted him to be 100% committed to the fight, not the payday.

The girls fight was kickass😎
That head butt cut over Amanda Serrano right eye was huge, and in my opinion deliberate, Katie Taylor is known for head butts and if you know anything about boxing back in the day that was a hugely used tactic to hurt your opponent and effect their eye sight. Thankfully Katie got dinged for 1 point, should have been 2 points after her 4th butt. South Paws vs Right handers always runs into head butt issues but any fight fan could see Katie was doing it deliberately because she was getting her ass kicked by Serrano.

Today's paper says AT&T Stadium ticket sales were $17.8 million. Jerry won too.

I was trying figure where is the money is made.... was not pay per view... 50-60M between the two headliners... How much did Netflix pay for it? It took lots of money for promotion and marketing and the venue... I was trying to do the math....
