Dunno. DTE showed 100 miles to empty, so I filled it up with 87 from kwik trip. Puked 20ish miles later.


Drove for 30ish miles before that. Was fine..

Knocking, pinging like crazy, wouldn't idle.

According to my manuals that means it’s a fuel issue. Company truck at my old job did the same thing, changed the fuel filter and that fixed it.

Well, hopefully that's all it is. As busy as that gas station is, I'd find it pretty difficult to believe I was the only one. Literally hundreds of people getting gas there a day. Especially today....

Btw, neighbor went back to his place. Lucky decided to stay....

Just played parking lot mechanic at the neighbor's horse barn. Caliper plunger was hanging up on the farm truck when I pulled in with the trailer in tow. It was heating up the brakes so I had to pull things apart in the dirt driveway. Found a boot on one of the plungers was loose so I hit it with brake kleen and lubed the plunger. The temporary fix should get me by until I can get a new caliper.

Debris/sludge clogged a hole in the variable valve timing. Please explain to me how an engine that has had 2 oil changed since January has debris in the oil?
Fuel tested fine.

In other news, I have the biax cut to size and the plywood all scuffed up. Need to clean up the sawdust, cover my table with plastic, go find my buckets, brushes, and glass roller....
It's time to build a transom.
