Turkeys started showing up here 15-20 years ago. Pheasants kind of went away....Used to grouse hunt all the time back in Colorado, but no pheasants back there.

I'd believe pine ridge contributed to that significantly.A few ditch chickens do still exist around here, but I think they mostly are farm raised escapees. Usually see at least one hen every year during corn harvest, and the occasional long tail!
