Done with a chaotic breakfast. Kids are gonna swim for while still. Gonna sit and order parts to kill some time I guess.

I'm not programed to do stuff like this lol

Really small hammer:)

When I was sailing the Bahamas in the late 60's, bars provided free conch fritters like many do peanuts.
Checking out that menu you posted the other day, seems conch has gotten quite expensive

You can’t believe the piles of harvested conch shells in Bimini

Damn. I was just looking at the national radar. It's going to be an ugly one.

Stores have been out for a week or so, we are having a hard time getting salt at work also. So I don't know if the ice-melt producers missed the forecasts or what. Supposed to warm up tomorrow so I'll get some regular old rock salt and it should do the trick. Just don't want a bunch of half-frozen crap on my driveway when we enter the deep freeze mid-week.

My weather isn't too bad for winter. Partly cloudy and it hit 50 today. Haven't had snow this year, so far.

6 sleds picked up, firewood hauled up under the lean to roof. Tractor finally prepped for winter, installed plow, welded plow bracket, greased, tire chains and some more weight. 1st coat of paint on the new shelf.

I made the mistake 15-16 yrs ago, don't duck my head enough on short enclosed trailers while loading a sled . Well

Finally got to the plow truck. 16YO daughter bundled up, holding the light and handing me tools.

Cranked a bit then lit and stayed lit. Plow was frozen down, car trailer attached had some low tires. The young lady learned what valve stems were, how to check the air in a tire, and how to add air in a tire. She’s just giddy because they already canceled school for tomorrow.

After adding some trans fluid we broke the plow free, backed up the trailer and disconnected it, and we’re ready for snow. Bring it!

Mornin boys. Dogs came in completely white after letting them out this morning.

I’ll take the snow over the -25 with-50 windchill slated for Wednesday morning.

Be safe, fellas.

Well it is 9 this morning. Starting tomorrow for a few days the high will be in the negatives.

Glad I fly out tonight to 90 degree weather.

Drove a friend to a doctor appointment this morning. The only doc that showed up at this practice was in his mid sixties with supplemental oxygen. He mentioned the fact that he had to brush the snow off his car this morning. Several other docs, many twenty years younger, chose not to drive in today. The older doc we met with laughed and said he was covering for someone who was supposed to be "on call" today, but that he was not going to cover for them later in the week.
This whole sissified culture is really pissing me off lately. Odds are, these younger docs are all driving SUVs and live way closer than me or the older Dr. does to the office.
Rant over:mad:
