Oh another Hollywood mess up of history. In around 1912 or maybe a little later. Director DW Griffith released his film Birth Of A Nation. The KKK started using the film to recruit members. So this year some black filmmakers made their own Birth Of A Nation. The problem was even during slavery, a large number of slaves earned their freedom. They themselves bought slaves to work in their businesses. The KKK was formed to protect them too from slave uprisings that started occurring before and after the civil war in America. Sure blacks have had it rough, but they themselves also traded and kept slaves. That's why Liberia was formed cause the freed blacks wanted to keep their slaves. Liberia broke out in civil war because they still held slaves into the 1980's. Obviously, I'm condensing history, but look it up its all true.
