We absolutely love our trex decking. Jeff gets out there with a pressure washer and cleans it off in the late spring and it's done. No repainting/staining ever. No splinters, can walk on it barefoot, it doesn't absorb anything, and it dries quickly. You will be pleased with it, I'm sure. We plan to extend ours around the sides of the house next summer.

Good info. Spray wash it is! The color I wanted only came with the ridged bottom. Didnt want that but did want the color. Clam Shell is what I choose and it looks great. Getting ready to do the ramp steps now.

It might be too late, but Trex with 24" on center joists will create waves on the Trex in the heat. If you haven't started putting it down, Id think real hard about adding a joist in the middle of the existing.

?????

The longest boards are 14' long with 27 of them. There are 8 total boards length wise. So less than 2' per in between support beams.

Trex is the only way to go Tom. Kinda looks like mine only I just have one Blackstone, but I do have a pit boss smoker. The blackstone goes with me in the motorhome next week.

Looks like you sanded the previous deck down first and then changed your mind? or did the previous owners do that?

Got it, spacing looked close to 24” OC. Last one I did was 18” OC and can still see a bit of wave in it if you’re looking for it. Next one I do will be 12” OC.
