Accident due to a failure of the arm? Never personally seen a re-enforced arm fail. And there is crazy pressure being put on those things hopping a 5k lb car!

I just perused A-arm offerings. There's some super nice stuff out there now. that shit just wants around in the 90's. Had to make it ourselves. Guys would even then take the stock reinforced and stretched A-arm down to the plater and dip 'em chrome or even gold lol
No, someone tagged him and sent him into a curb. The insurance covered the cost of the new stuff. The stock arm we modified was bent, but no problem with the weld.

I have an 88 square body that I just finished doing a 6.0 - 4l80e swap into. If I ever find the time it will get 4-linked and bagged to make it ride and look better. Old school Alcoa’s on it. Pretty clean truck and drives real nice with the ls in it. I actually let my drive it around when she was down recently.
I would be curious to know if putting a modern drivetrain in improves fuel mileage much if at all? My old 454 drives fine it just doesn’t past many gas stations. :D

Are they really getting that much for old square body Dooleys? Or is this guy a bit optimistic in his pricing?
Maybe it’s the patina.

Yes square bodies are the new hot ticket. Since the 67-72 body style trucks are obsolete to find

I thought just short bed single cabs where the hot ticket for square bodies.
I thought square body crew Cab Duallys were a dime a dozen.
Maybe I’m sitting on a gold mine.

Driving like an idiot it gets 10mpg. That’s getting on it and driving 75-80 down the freeway. . Quiet and smooth. It has a stock tune with the vats removed. A tune would help all the way around. And it is faster than when I had a mild big block in it with a gear vendor.

My fleet of squares. Yes I have issues. The little short bed has a blown 6.0 ls and a t56 in it. The lifted crewcab has a cummins Allison swap the lowered orange crew is slated for a cummins 4l80e swap and the dually has the 6.0 4l80e swap.

What's the deal with the red lowered 90's crew in behind the square bodies?

It is a customers. Did some work to it and will be doing more in the future.

Chassis By Aaron Iha is doing all the work. I should have it complete by end of January. Yesterday the firewall was tubbed as well as the bed. I’ll get more pics in the next few weeks as it will be ready for powdercoat soon.

Hey Tim. No I’m not, no longer a car guy. We are still in Glendora though. I hope your family is doing well. Pretty cool to see your kids all grown up. Mine as well.

This deserves its own thread

I was just thinking of this thread yesterday, was going to post this crewcab for sale on craigslist but I gotta say, the search engine on RDP is less than stellar! LOL

Anyway, I agree Selfmades shit is off the charts and absolutely deserves it's own thread. CRAZY build!

But heres' a nice standard dropped crew for a pretty decent price. Seems very clean.

LOL, I was laughing at that too. I'd be VERY tempted to buy this and get rid of my 2door Tahoe if I hadn't finally begun work on it. For 10k with 140k miles that thing is a nice deal. Looks very clean. I'd throw some 22's on it and call it a day :D

Damn, seems a shame to cover it up. I like the way the bed was done. How much did you have to raise the floor for the body drop? (Body drop=channeled with my clientele!)
It is stockfloor body dropped. So the floor pan has not been raised at all. There is a trans tunnel in the center of the cab. The center console is still for the most part in its stock location. I lost the sub in the center console. My seats have not been raised at all. The cab should go back completely stock. The motor was lowered a few inches. My ac and heat still work. I pretty much have full function of the truck.

Yes the fuel cell was handmade and built to fit in the stock location and use stock filler neck. It’s 34 gallons.
