That would be a nice project. Back in the day there were a few bad ass ones built.

A rare time i wish i still lived in Cali...at most a tranny, but could very well be a speed sensor or solenoid! Heck, a 60 or an 80 will move forward and backward if the PRNDL switch isn't wired or plugged in...wonder if the rebuilt motor is a carbed setup and they didn't finish it up?

Damn!! Lmao I’ve wanted one of these since 1990!! My dad had one that was the body style before this with bear skin seat covers and the best system that was out then! I thought it was the best!!

one ton, could still be a turbo 400 no overdrive. Probably just needs the plastic governor gear replaced. Less than a $ 100.00. I don't need one, but if it was close I would buy it and take a chance.

When I finish all of the other projects I've been acquiring, I'm going to be shopping for a pre '75 Chevy dually. Just cuz. :D

Look to the right of the ad, under the Map.

I sent him a text asking for more photos about an hour ago, no response

Says clean title in ad

Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk
It does, it also says salvaged under title status. That means he has the title, but the truck has a salvage title for some reason. For $1500 I'd say it's well worth it if you want one.

Didn't see that, makes more sense now.

What was the price? Not sure if the front gets enough lift to clear the tires when turning.

I saw an early 90’s primered Black one in a parking lot the other night in Rifle CO.

It was idling with the running lights on kind of under the parking lot lights.
That thing looked straight up bad ass!! Slammed and murdered.
Made we want one!

They were asking 27k I think. 130k miles. It's bagged, raises to drive and clear.

I have an 88 square body that I just finished doing a 6.0 - 4l80e swap into. If I ever find the time it will get 4-linked and bagged to make it ride and look better. Old school Alcoa’s on it. Pretty clean truck and drives real nice with the ls in it. I actually let my drive it around when she was down recently.

Perfect set up. One I’ve been wanting to do for a long time. Any pics?

Do you paint orange over the blue, or blue over the orange to make that less hideous?

...or maybe a Broncos sticker on the rear window
If the wheels weren’t blue I bet it would look way better.

The paint leaves much to be desired!

Speaking of square bodies...I know you love some square body. This has potential.

Polished wheels and a lighter blue, that blue is to dark for the orange.

I really wish I still had mine. 94 , bitchin stereo, purple pearl white paint 5/7 slammed on 19.5 kneepers with 50 series tires. Thing was LOW! It actually only had a 350 in it too. Custom ordered that way from the original owner.

I really loved that truck!

I grew up going to river, with everything had to match,
I know its old school , but there was something about towing your boat with a clean truck, kicking back and cruising at a modest 65 no hurry to get there or back.
for me it was and still, about how my shit looks on and off the water.

I'd detail the boat and the truck the day before we left for the drive out. If we hit any rain or area's of heavy bugs on the way, I'd hit the drive through car wash once in havasu. After the weekend, wipe the boat off and the truck off for the drive back.

Not exactly an easy feet when washing this crap, and my wife was always like, it's just gonna get dirty on the way out. :D

Stock drive train and the interior is cherry and stock. It is sitting on the frame in the pic. All the hard work is done with this one. He is going to use it to tow his drag boat to the lake. Kinda jealous, I have to say LOL

Let him know there's a super cheap and easy fix to get rid of that butterfly if he wants - 1/2" thick and 1" wide steel plate cut. Cut the upper A-arm right in the middle, weld the steel in. It extends and drops the upper a-arm just enough. We used to do it with our lowriders that had hydraulics all the time to get rid of the butterfly. Too much and you'll get a bowed affect when locked up, just right and it will pretty much look straight locked up or laid down.

Of course now-a-days you can probably just buy new a-arms as well. lol

Yeah, tons of arms and spindles that correct all of that. We did a ‘68 about a year ago with stock arms, but I sectioned the ball joint boss out of the lower arm and moved it in about 3/4”. The guy got in an accident and we ended up putting aftermarket arms on it about a month later.

Accident due to a failure of the arm? Never personally seen a re-enforced arm fail. And there is crazy pressure being put on those things hopping a 5k lb car!

I just perused A-arm offerings. There's some super nice stuff out there now. that shit just wants around in the 90's. Had to make it ourselves. Guys would even then take the stock reinforced and stretched A-arm down to the plater and dip 'em chrome or even gold lol
