We have a room at the Camden for the week.. media crew is staying at the hotel, myself and friends are staying at a house a few miles away. Boat will stay at Camden all week.

Ive been there a few times. My 26' carrera does just fine on week days. Its rougher on weekends but not unbearable. Weve taken smaller boats too, just gotta be more particular when you go out in something small.

New Mexico was absolutely wild.. lol. From almost having a crazy experience at that loves to a little east of there we stopped for gas at a truck stop and some dude was doing donuts in the parking lot.. place is flat out lawless..

This is actually the ticket. You buy a 40-60 cruiser, keep it at the marina and stay on it when you’re there. Then you always have a place to stay and can cruise the lake at your leisure in comfort. Bring the performance boat down for a weekend and side tie to your water condo. #livinyourbestfuckinlife!

lol no.. we aren’t there yet. When I finish it, it will be so heavy it wouldn’t make a good shoot out boat because of stereo / batteries / tv’s etc.. it’s a 100 mph cruiser when it’s done.

This is a cool thread for a number of reasons. I had always planned to go to LOTO sometime in my life, while I have been boat less for many years but it used to be my biggest hobby before I got heavy into Glamis in the mid 90s. My dad had recently moved to Heber springs in Arkansas and built a nice home off the river there after my mom had passed, he built out a whole RV pad for us to visit. We had planned this year to hit the Ultra4 race in Disney Oklahoma, meet up at LOTO and then over to his place for a 2 week vacation. He passed unexpectedly just before Thanksgiving last year, needless to say we never made the trip but we will one day.
