Giants destiny is in their own hand. They win tomorrow, they're in. They lose, they need help.
Cubs are gonna choke as usual. The Mets are gonna be tough.

Gee that would be to bad if the Giants had to play monday
The Dodgers may still play a huge roll in the Giants destiny. Dodgers win and Cardinals win it forces a one game elimination game on Monday as the Mets sit back and wait. I'm just not sure where that game would be played! St. Louis or Frisco?

I don't think so. This is when the Giants play ball. It wouldn't be the first time they've done it this way

The Mets won't be quite as tough in a 5 game series with their pitching not being as solid as it was to start the season. Harvey out, DeGrom out. But if you get them in a WC game, you'll face Syndergaard. Yea, that'll be tough. :D And this might be a good shot of being the year for them Cubbies. They've been holding strong from the start. Good thing the Doyers did well vs. Their starting rotation this year. Including the last series we played them. Plus we like to bump them out of the playoffs as of late. :D

Both STL and SF are potentially tough matchups for LAD in the postseason. Dodgers have lost 15 of 19 at SF & STL has had the better hand vs. Kersh in the NLCS, over the last few years.. but how about the AL wildcard..... Orioles & Blue Jays tied 88-73 & Tigers 1.5 back, but only one game back in the loss column? I'm not exactly sure why DET will have played one game less this season? Nor do I know how it plays out if those teams finish with 74 losses. Crazy, but I think we might have some play-in games on Monday....:thumbsup

It looks like Miami, Pitt, and Atlanta also have a missing game as well. The Miami one was probably the one they cancelled when Fernandez died. Someone probably has one that was cancelled and never made up due to weather. They wouldn't make it up unless it was necessary. Shit, that would suck for Detroit if they had to squeeze in a make up game to help determine it.

There was a rain-out that ended in a tie last week, forget who was playing. That would account for two teams missing a win or lose.

I didn't leave the Dodgers. The Dodgers left me when people started calling them the Doyers. :D

I still have my memories of going to the games in the late 60's - 90's. After that I could care less. :D
I still remember watching the game when Piazza hit it over the right field bleachers (I'm 30 so a wee bit younger).

Im 56. Went to the World Series game against New York in 78'. Was at the game when Dusty Baker hit #30 home run so 4 Dodgers had over 30. A record at the time. Was at the game in 82' when Garvey broke the record for most consecutive games played in the NL. He was in his first year as a Padre. :p
