The owner asked if I could pay in cash. I believe if I do the loan through lightstream I can. If they put the money in either my b of a or schools first account would I be able to withdraw 30k or would they need time to get that?

Yes with Lightstream you should be able to do that. Once money is in your account, call bank and order cash, the day before you want it.

Paying cash would make me slightly nervous without the title being in hand. At least a check there is a paper trail.

When I sold my first boat, bank still had title.
Buyer refused to bring cash, so I told him once your check clears, then you get title. 3 weeks later, I delivered the boat and title to his house

Honestly I’m a little nervous I’ve never done a cash transaction this big, but yes he does have the title in hand. I would hope no one is willing to do something dumb for 30k

Have him meet you at your bank. You can withdraw the cash with him inside. Usually the bank will let you use a desk to sign paper work (title, bill of sale etc). That way you’re on camera at least

This is what I did the last time that I sold a vehicle. I wanted to be sure that his cash was fresh out of the bank and not fake. I don’t trust anyone these days.

Pretty sure you have nothing to worry about, you went to his house to see it? I pay with cash, I would worry more some dirtbag seeing you take money out than getting taken on a motorhome scam.

Behind my kitchen sink, on the side of the house, on the rv driveway, there’s a clean out. Can I use that as an rv dump?

I use a clean out by my mailbox. As long as it’s in the ground, I see no issue

Legally? Not sure I've heard mixed things about dumping the trailer in the sewer depending on the city.

I use the clean out on the side of my house by the bathroom and never had an issue. Bought a rv connection to screw on the hose

So I thought it was in the ground. It’s in the wall… probably not a great idea 🤷‍♂️

Depends on where it runs. If in the wall not likely a 4".

You don't want to overload it and have it come out a toilet inside.

Locate the main from that clean out. And it would be worth while adding a 4" in ground as a dump station.

Depends. are you on sewer or septic?
Sewer I say fuck yeah. if Septic you can as long as you dont put the chemical shit down your RV toilet. That stuff kills the bacteria the septic tank relies on to break down your shit. LOL

Schools first usually likes a 24 hour notice.

I have actually had to handle more cash transactions than I wanted to. Thankfully some were with RDP members and it’s not a big deal. The RZR one I was nervous about, but it turned out to be a really nice guy with his family. It’s a bit nerve racking, but you will be fine. Just carry if you can as I do…just incase. I keep the cash in the truck until I need to do the exchange, that way if I feel like something is off, I can just leave. I have never had to do that, but it’s one of my escape plans of, “let me grab the cash and bolt.”

I pulled 35k out , and had to drive to 4 different bank locations to get it all. They had to call and organize it.
Each time I picked up, they sat me down and gave me a speech about the perils of carrying cash.
It was a credit union, not sure if all banks are like that these days. Definately call ahead, be p[repared for them to talk you out of it 6 ways from sunday....

I wish I was sat down. I was at the front teller when the manager came over to explain to me that as soon as I walk out the door, it is a big risk. Everyone in line knew now. Should have had me go to one of the desks to handle it at that point.

8 years ago we sold a house. $120,000 was wired to Altura CU from Wells Fargo. Altura refused to release the complete sum for 30 days. They gave me a schedule where I could get small amounts (like $10,000) after 3 days, and then another 10K in 10 days, and then another 10K after 14 days etc.
I don't believe I have ever been more angry with a bank. That includes Union Bank where I went in to payoff a loan ahead of time and they could not give me a pay off amount. Three different "managers" could not come up with the same number. I wrote a check for the middle number and told them we were done forever.

So like the title says it’s time to bite the bullet. We sold the trailer and it’s time to get SOMETHING. As much as I don’t want a payment my boys are only getting older and it’s time to bite the bullet. As mush as I’d like to go all out it’s simply not in the cards right now. With that said I’m really trying to keep the budget at 30 and maybe up to 40k if it’s something Michelle really likes. So I guess first things first is there anybody here that has something that would work for us that you no longer use or have thought about maybe getting rid of?

I know a lot of you don’t fb but market place has a lot of RV’s so I’m going to post a few links and hopefully get some good and bad on these. There’s 5 in my family so I need to sleep 5. If I could get something with bunks that’s ideal. I think… I also want to be able to tow a trailer. I don’t own a sxs but you never know and I don’t want to just keep upgrading. I realize my budget is low. I’m trying to be responsible.

This one has bunks and I like it. So what’s the bad?

This one no bunks but my wife likes it and the price is right

This one is gas but newer and very nice what’s anyone got for this guy

I’m not in a huge hurry but like I said the boys are getting older and out group of friends is in the camping era. I’m not trying to keep up with the jones but I’m trying to enjoy good company and make memories. My buddy just bought Tony hawks old rv and as nice as it is and as much as I love it I’m just not at the stage of my life yet.
Look at Tiffin 35QBA.
