We found one and deposit is sent. Will see in a few weeks once all paperwork is done and I fly down and give it the final approval. 🤞

That is a great looking rig and the fact your dad is going with you to get it is even cooler. Enjoy the motorhome but more importantly cherish the experience. I would pay way more than the price of the motorhome for one more drive with my dad.

Thanks. I’m pretty lucky having him come with me, just had to promise my mother to keep his nitro pills close. 🤦‍♂️ lucky for me he’s never needed them. But feel guilty asking him as my family needed to be home for a volleyball tournament this weekend. So they postponed their trip back to FL till he gets back.

I know absolutely nothing about RV’s but that one looks to be a gem. Safe travels home with dad.

That thing is absolutely gorgeous. You will love the way that thing drives.
I’ve driven Monaco’s and allegro buss’s cross country but not a Newmar. I’ve heard they drive well and with adaptive steering it helps to fight wind and not making you to tired.

What’s concerning is the cold weather and possible ice. I rather not drop down to the 10 but it’s the safest but it’s sooo boring.

Will see what the weather is like when we are heading out.

Slowdown, stay at a few cool campgrounds, spend time with pops…… use that thing for what it’s for!
Stopped for the night in Oxford Alabama in a Cracker Barrel parking lot. lol.

He wants to get home, as they (parents) are heading to their Cape Coral home for 2 months when he gets home.

We picked our RV up in Iowa just as Covid was starting. Just my son and I went to pick it up. We tried to stay off of the interstates as much as possible to see as much of rural America as we could and stay away from the mask nazi’s. It was a blast for us, also got to teach him how to drive it. Hope you enjoy the ride!

How’s the drive going? Any issues with power on hills or wind blowing you around?
Slow on the update yesterday. I had my father drive for a bit while I noted down things that I want to fix/update. My oasis hydronic heating keep blowing a fuse ( see @BHC Vic somthing always goes wrong in rv’s) so researched that issue and it’s 1 or all of the 3 circ pumps that are faulty, known issue.

As far as driving, it drives great. With the tag you don’t get pushed around so it’s straight as can be. And with newmar comfort drive if you let go of the wheel it centers it self or if you are fighting cross wind you can adjust the gain so the small motor fights the wind. It’s literally 1 finger steering. Just staring to get some wind now going through Abilene TX.

We are averaging around 7.8 mph at 70 mph on cruise control.

150 gallon tank so about a 1,000 mile range on a full tank with a little reserve? Nice!

Beautiful coach, I’m hoping to get a similar one this year. Will be looking after the spring.

Good luck with your search. Just nailing down the floor plan that you think will work best for the fam is the hardest part. The wife and I differed on this but I got what I wanted with the drive terrain and she got the floor plan.

Have you wanted the bigger 500HP engine yet? Or is that 8.9L 450 enough?

Made it to Tucson an hr ago, 840 miles from Eastland TX to the west side of Tucson in a Cracker Barrel parking lot (they allow rv’s to stay) and wind for all those miles.

Not much to post going through midland /odesa /el Paso /nm. Not sure whole would move to these places if not a roughneck.

You always want more power. Just like a boat, it just cost money.

I’ve notice my radiator fan stays on all the time. Not 100% if this is correct so going to look into it. It’s runs by belt to a clutch that turns a drive shaft to a 90 degree gear box that spins the fan. I’ll have to check my father’s in his to see if his fan is always spinning even on start up. Fan takes about 40hp.

Home at last. As much fun it was, I don’t want to drive anymore today. Lol

2500 miles in the book. Was trying to think how much fuel I used and my guess is about 450 gallons and if that is close then my mileage is worse than what the computer says. I’ll have to keep better track next time. But I did use 15 gallons of def.

It’s a 16’. Overall I’m extremely happy with it. Now just need to make it ours with some fixes and tweaks.

Drives great especially with the comfort drive, makes steering a breeze and the automatic wheel return to center when you let go is nice.

My father has a ‘13 allegro bus and I would say his a bit smoother riding in the front. But bad roads are bad roads and everything rattles. But I don’t have much wind noise but have some.
