Makes me think twice about taking my 5 month old out there and he's been quite a few times this year.

I can't even imagine what the parents are feeling right now.
We started both our kids early my son was 2 months and daughter was 6 weeks. It makes you think twice for sure.

Both my kids were river infants but not on holiday weekends or when weather reached insurmountable levels. Poor child

Tyler please let us know if there is anything we as a boating community can do to lighten their load. Praying for their hearts as I know they are broken. I was praying so hard that this wouldn’t be the outcome. Definitely a parents worst nightmare. 🙏
Dad is a cop and mom is a brand ambassador. I think they have a lot of built in support just an fyi

We had our three kids out at 2-3 months progressively. Blythe. 115-120 + summer trips.

I don’t know how to word this. But.

I hope and don’t want the parents to feel they made a mistake or are to blame. . Many of us have done this with no issue.

I still can’t grasp the pain they must be going through. I hope they can find peace and this little girl rest in peace 😞

Fuck!
Hurts to read the gofundme write up.

When our daughter started boating with us at 4 months, we had a small tub we would bring on the boat and soak her in to regulate body heat. Once an hour she would go for a tub ride and cool off And the tub was filled with 1/2 lake water and a cup or two of ice water from the coolers. Kids that young have a hard time regulating body temp :(

RIP little one.
To family and friends, may time heal your hearts.

Just to repeat what I said yesterday word for word:

"I'm not sure that I need to say this but please keep any critical or hurtful comments to yourself. The family are long time members of our boating/Havasu community. Please make sure that they feel supported by what they read here."

During this time, family and friends can use all the support they can get.

We had friends that lost a child at a young age.
They did not have to cook dinner for months (home cooked food was dropped off daily) and almost everyday their older child was with someone in our group. Either going to the park, ice-cream runs etc.

Some know my in law family story.
Yes they sure can. But time does diminish on how people follow up contact in support.
I can share more in a pm if interested

But. The pain and family grief does not go away for ( well there is no time limit ) people move on on different times and ways. There is not a book for this shitty situation 😞

Poor baby girl, so hard to hear something like this.
I'm guessing this will soon become a police investigation and things will go south from here.
I personally don't go out when it's above 110 outside, just too hot.
Let’s try and stay as positive as possible. And maybe just a really bad accident and situation

That's gonna be standard because it was a child but im willing to say that no wrong doing will be found, it was an unfortunate accident.

RIP little one

I don’t know how we can help, if we can get on a meal train, I don’t know if anyone has that going. Just in tears, devastating how a family vacation can turn. God pray over this family. Rip pretty girl

I felt like we all understood the OP’s wishes to keep it positive? Now we’re talking about police investigations and what their careers are, Jesus… 🤦‍♂️

Most could follow along. But there is always somebody. ☹️
Sorry if I offended anyone, I responded to try to stop any further talk about it with a very simple statement, didn't want to turn it into a callout thread.

You’re all good bud. I was just pointing out the OP’s wishes in a thread that resulted in a tragic situation. Would be a tough read if the parents happened to come across this thread in the years to come.

So very sorry. Prayers to the entire family. I can’t imagine the pain.

That being said, the thread is already getting a bit sideways. No reason to keep it going.

Let's keep this thread going and just make certain we post positive comments. It isn't that hard to do. If I were in a similar situation, I would need all the support this world could offer.

I don't know the family or the details, and it really doesn't matter. What matters is they feel an overwhelming sense of love and support. That's all that matters and it's all we can do.

More positivity, cool to see the GoFundMe blow past the goal. Hopefully this allows the family to take the time they need to grieve and not be stressed about having to get back to work to pay bills.

Saw it too. Almost broke out in a solid cry reading the mom's post about the older sister being too young to really understand what's going on, and checking the crib, leaving toys for her.....heartbreaking. Nobody deserves to go through something like this.
Couldn't finish reading it, hits way too close to home having a 2 year old and another on the way

I just got back from Powell and read this in one sitting. I was so hoping for a more positive outcome but rest assured the power of RDP definitely helped. RIP little one.🙏
