They should become RDP members because then they don’t need a loan. They’d be able to buy it with cash.Yes they are and a big commitment each month for the life of the loan.
Isn’t inflation and high prices a macro economic issue? Therefore if you want to return to 2019 prices, one of the contributing factors would be to return to 2019 wages? The only way to take inflation is to slow the economy?
I agree and we aren’t going to take away the wage gains over the last 5 years either… so slower hiring and asking more for less going forward from each individual is the resultWe're never returning to 2019 prices.
Fore sure one of the many contributing factors.Isn’t inflation and high prices a macro economic issue? Therefore if you want to return to 2019 prices, one of the contributing factors would be to return to 2019 wages? The only way to take down inflation is to slow the economy?
Definitely not overpaid, LOL I'm a truck driver like you and I make 73k yearLess pay? I think highly over paid..
Agreed! 30 years I the energy sector and I can tell you the easiest way to produce energy is when it’s most profitable, not when the inputs are cheap.Fore sure one of the many contributing factors.
Energy costs is a major one as well. Product has to get transported. Oil is needed for manufacturing. There’s a lot of things that run in a supply chain and it all adds up every time the product goes from company to company.
That's not completely true, if you retire from Calpeers then you can't go get a job where the pension is Calpeers. They would have to go to a municipality or county that has their own pension like LA City (laceers), LA County also has their own pension. Ventura County and and Santa Barbara County and all the cities within those counties are all on Calpeers. You can go on line and see what these highly overpaid city , state , fed employees are getting paid .
I never heard a state city or fed employee crying about there pay
Let’s just look at few examples
HB fire captain 450 k a year ?
HB police 230.-250 ?
Newport life guard 350?
All I’m saying thats damn good living
And yet 20-25 years in they can retire and get another state job and collect two pensions
On the tax payers dime.
Why California is trillions in debt with unfunded
Pension plans .
Look at the numbers
Promises were made to these public unions on the backs of all tax payers including there own .
Good for them though. They were all a lot smarter than I am .
I thought the inflation is what caused the prices to go up...the money they've printed. Which always confused me: money is printed to stimulate the economy, but then things get more expensive because there is more money floating around?Isn’t inflation and high prices a macro economic issue? I think you are right that printing money drives inflation and prices… one of the macro factors, but what do I know, I was digging the high interest rates. I was hoping on fixed returns at 6%+ but that’s turning down -5% now.I thought the inflation is what caused the prices to go up...the money they've printed. I don't know, I'll just continue making some and handing it to the next person.
Could be worse! You don’t have to ask anyone to hit Powell for couple days. Weather is perfect by the way…. Blew up one of my uppers but the new one should be here tomorrow!Guess Im going to be self-unemployed forever.
At least there are some returns, and it means you have investments to sell if need be. That isn't all bad. This thread has seriously made me question my choices in life. It would appear they sucked. At least I make no payments to anyone, but that also means the steady rise in inflation gets felt a bit more constantly.I think you are right that printing money drives inflation and prices… one of the macro factors, but what do I know, I was digging the high interest rates. Sorry but not making payments to anyone hardly says your choices suck. I admire anyone who isn’t slave to the lender. At least there are some returns, and it means you have investments to sell if need be. That isn't all bad. F’ing awesome! Pumped for youExactly why I click the "Hispanic" button when filling out the diversity section.
An update for those following along......just accepted a temp job for a 2-month project that starts this Thursday. Yes, it is an hourly 1099 position so I will have to deal with all the tax BS later. They know I am looking for a permanent job, and we updated the contract so I can interview as needed (clock in/clock out, get paid for when I work).
DWRAT....I heard you loud and clear when you said take the job, but I know what I am worth. In the first 9 days of this temp job I will earn more than what the other job would have paid for the past 10 weeks. The best part is they are open to extend if I don't have a job at the end of the contract (and it could turn into a real gig depending on ownership and the economy).
xtrmwakeboarder, thanks for the good vibes. Just finished my call with the Anduril recruiter, and he is moving me onto the next steps! Fingers crossed baby!
I look at it this way, when this shit turns into Cuba, I'll be sitting prettySorry but not making payments to anyone hardly says your choices suck. I admire anyone who isn’t slave to the lender.
And FOMO. I raise prices just to see if I can get it…then I do it again, and again lol.I thought the inflation is what caused the prices to go up...the money they've printed. Yes, but you're a bit more specialty...If farmers did that we'd all be screwed. And FOMO. I raise prices just to see if I can get it…then I do it again, and again lol.
