I couldn't make it all the way through.....

I know you have a soft spot for her, but I can't get on board with her and her program. The way she has her set arranged even throws me off. Maybe some day she'll develop into a decent drummer.

If you want to watch one of the most talented drummers out there, here you go. 💪

Completely understood. 👍
I think part of the infatuation is that they are 3 sisters who really work as one and have since childhood.
It’s refreshing to see that these days I think.

Pau kind of reminds me of that cartoon character from bugs bunny. The Tasmanian Devil whirlwind! Lol
She sings (I think her voice is her best talent) writes, drums, plays piano, runs the shows from her little computer dealio, and does all of it very well and in two languages…and sings while doing all the other stuff.

in some ways she’s like a 22 year old Gaga but with a couple extra talents thrown in.👌
It’s anyone’s guess how good she’ll be at 30 years old.

El Estepario Siberiano is pretty mind blowing if you want to see someone that just flat out has super human speed and coordination.

He is a metal guy, so he's not everyone's cup of tea. But that mfer can swing sticks like nobodies business. It's like watching a great drummer play in double or triple speed.

Lars is a technically terrible drummer. He’s said many times he counts James in for the song, and then plays off him alone, he doesn’t set the time himself. Lol.

Metallica is my all time favorite band. I was in a Metallica cover band in high school even 😂. They sound like they do because of the way Lars drums though, and I’d almost hate to hear what they sound like with a really good drummer like Portnoy or something. 😂

Sad to say that tonight’s show in São Paulo is Nicko’s last show with Iron Maiden after 42 years.

He’s retiring from the band to focus on his other ventures. His replacement has been picked but not announced yet.
i read that he first played with them in Sao Paulo, so it is fitting. but still sad to see him go. i am happy i got to them with Nicko twice.

PHENOMENAL drummer!

One thing I think people confuse is a drummer they like vs a technically good drummer, style vs skill.

He has SOOOO much more talent than some folks may realize. Maintaining a consistent beat for the duration of Tool's songs is no easy feat. Many of their songs are over 10 minutes long and some are over 13 minutes! And to hold that pace, drive and energy while mixing polyrhythms and various time signatures for the duration of each song, while looking as relaxed as a person can be, is absolutely incredible. Don't get me wrong, there are a LOT of talented musicians and guys who can bang away with a lot of skill. But few, if any, can match Danny Carey. He is gifted for sure!!

To me, there is no “best” drummer. At some point, it just becomes a matter of preference.

If we are having a best drummer debate………. I’d like to nominate my friend Mikkey Dee, for no other reason than…… we hang out together, when he comes to town. lol

I tend to leave Lars Ulrich alone from any criticism about his playing. People love to hate him, kind of like a Nickelback deal. Lars has done it all, Metallica is the biggest metal/thrash band that ever lived (by album sales). Btw, he was absolutely right about Napster, he took a stand, some people hate him for this. I gained a lot of respect for him from their doc "some kind of monster".. Lars is worth around 350 million, he must be doing something right.

As far as female drummers, my favorite is Shelia E, she's so amazing and hits like a guy... She gets a lot of respect in the drum world.
