I'm not sure how much you have fallowed this since the beginning. But alot of the videos where livestreaming during the actual event and attack. You could actually dig it it up here in the dungeon. There is a pretty extensive thread on here from when this actually took place. And other video from many different angles. So unless all that were videoing conspired together to all edit their videos and photos the same way.. that is not plausible. JMO

I have only passively watched the trial. Just noticed they made a lot of noise about the enhancement of video but did not seem to have a great SME on the witness stand.

I believe if you have a 'File' wether it is a photo/video and it's not a 'link', you can edit/enhance anything.

IMO, that portion of the drone video where they are trying to say he raised/ pointed his gun prior to the shooting is a 'reach' at best.
I understand that I'm watching a 'screen through a screen' . . . but they've played it like 20+ times and the judge (last I saw) couldn't make it out 100%.
I believe the prosecutions is planning to use that as the main point in their final closing arguments.
I can just hear it now . . . "Members of the jury, please look and watch closely as Kyle Rittenhouse raises his gun and points it John Doe . . . he PROVOKED the attack and none of this would've happened if Kyle had not done this"!!!! . . . .

They wouldn't be pounding on the judge to allow this video if it wasn't a MAJOR component of their final arguments. If they had something bigger up their sleeve, I don't believe they'd be making such a big deal about it . . . . . but I could be wrong.

BTW, unless this was some high-tech government/ military drone used . . . most consumer drone cameras/ cell phone cameras are shit compared to a real camera with real lenses. They are fine for 'pictures' and video in their raw form . . . but once you start to 'crop-in', the quality begins to fall apart fast. Compound that with 'editing' and the results begin to look almost animated at some point. Some people are magicians at 'post processing', and I'm not talking about adding things that weren't there . . . I'm talking about enhancing what 'is' there . . . . there is no replacement for sensor size (gathers light) and big good quality glass on cameras . . . notice on the sidelines of major sporting events, those big white lenses alone run between $10K - $15K each . . . the camera bodies themselves run about $4K-$6K so you're upwards of $20K . . . I doubt much if any of the footage presented was taken with professional grade equipment.

The Judges decision to not throw out the gun charge is grounds alone. Kyle in total compliance of the statute. Judge should have thrown it out. But will instruct jury on the law.
Plenty of Prosecution mistakes, deliberate or not.

I don't think they usually have that many alternates. There were 4 alternates on the murder trial I served on. The alternates were deemed as the alternates before the start of the trial.

Yup, that is pretty much how it works. I think they may have some wiggle room depending on the case and the estimated length of the trial in regards to how many alternates they have. But all the cases I've been involved with, there is at least two alternates there from the beginning.
