He did well. Stay consistent with the narrative that his life was in danger.

Did I hear correctly that the prosecution said, 'No further questions', then Kyle sat down ?

Little sniveling rat that loves kids I bet.

We need the 4Chan crew to get to work on his past.

I listened to Kyles entire testimony today while I was working. I can say the Prosecuting Attorney had no cards to play with. The only thing he might have is Lyles friend purchased a gun for Kyle for him to use prior to his 18th Birthday and then they would do an FFA Transfer, lol. It’s seriously a joke they even brought this to trial. Both people he killed seriously wanted to kill him. The 1 dickhead that got shot in the arm told Kyle 2 times that if he caught him alone he was going to kill him. The kid acted in self defense. Case Closed!!

More than a few Legal analyst's say the Prosecution maneuvered for a mistrial, rather than suffer an acquittal. Judge knows what's up. Ample grounds for appeal in the event of a political conviction. I think the Kid held up admirably today under very difficult Cross examination. What a complete Soros Shitshow.
They had a nice BBQ today on the Five. Even Geraldo took a bite of DA wannabe SoyBoy's Ass.

This was my conclusion also, they knew he was getting acquitted so they want to take another shot at Kyle with another prosecutor, they are hoping for a mistrial at this point.

As for Kyle doing well on the stand, doesn't surprise me a bit. Under circumstances that would have sent most running, and possibly shot in the back, he held up. He practiced self discipline when most of us would have dumped a mag for suppression fire, and taken cover.
A DA's pointed words and evil intent, won't shake him.

Exactly . . . i was talking to a LEO buddy of mine tonight, who's been following this case closely, but had to work today . . . ha asked what happened, . . . part of my answer was, "I could've never done as well on the stand at age 18 as Kyle did . . . and for that matter I couldn't have done as well now at 52".

It was tough to watch when Kyle talked on stand about the moment when the attackers tried to kill him. Kyle got very emotional. Tough to watch because this young man took a stand and did what is right, all from a defensive stand, and he is the one on trial. Tough to put into words what this kid is going through, but I am humbled by his actions and demeanor and have truck loads of respect for him.

That’s what I was thinking too. After their “star” witness shit the bed the other day and admitted that Kyle only shot him after he pointed a gun at his head their case was toast! A mistrial would be the only was to get out of this shenanigan without technically taking a loss. I think Kenosha County is going to owe Kyle a few million in damages after this shit show is over. He will never be able to fulfill his dream of being a law enforcement officer or paramedic after this. Nobody would hire him.

It's painful to watch the weakness of that D.A. and his case.

The view from my armchair:
Poor judgment for a kid to be down there brandishing a firearm during a riot. (not a crime)
When he got separated, he must have been scared shitless.
His life was threatened, he had no choice but to assume it was an authentic threat.
People chose to rush a person with a gun, they must have assumed he was weaker, or would not pull the trigger. (Normal people might run from a gun)
I would lie to a mob about shooting someone, in fact, I would do anything to protect myself if in that situation.
I am convinced he acted in self-defense after watching the trial, this far. (I doubt the DA has some overwhelming evidence that would change my mind)
We should not make a hero out of this boy, he is not. He used extremely poor judgment, some of the people (militia) around him seemed like posers and idiots.
He will carry the guilt of taking lives forever.
Not sure if innocent he will get a fair shake in life. I'm not sure what he does next, but I hope it has meaning and that he can find happiness.

WOW!!!
Talk about biased “reporting”!
I almost threw up reading that.

“Black Lives Matter demonstration”?
Lol
Is that what they call every violent riot?

yeah the way it is written, you would think Kyle just walked up to a group of peaceful protesters and opened fire...

I guess you will never know what it's like having to "brandish a firearm" to protect your business, property when people are there to tear it down when the law enforcement has their hands tied and are doing nothing. This kid had every right to be there. And he had every right to defend himself!!

I would rather raise Kyle's hand as a hero, than bury Floyd as a martyr!!

Well said and I agree with everything except for the hero part to a certain extent.

I as a business owner and property owner would consider any boy, girl, man or woman defending my property from a mob that the government REFUSED to do anything about, a hero.

On top of that, this is what the boy was doing earlier in the day.

It’s what getting involved looks like.

I respectfully disagree with your assessment of Kyle’s actions that day. He was in fact doing good deeds throughout the day. One might even say serving the community. The police had zero problem with this armed youth from start to finish. If he had not had his weapon he would have been beaten badly, possibly killed.
In fact he was told he would be killed at the first opportunity.
It can be argued that he was targeted by the mob because he was armed, but that’s speculation really. He was primarily targeted because he was undoing the destruction the mob was creating.
The boy may have put himself in that position, but that’s what it takes to make a difference and he is in fact a hero in many ways. Not the least of which is his unbelievable discipline during his defensive retreat.

But I do know this, a 17 year old got more involved by scrubbing walls and rendering aid than 99% of us who sit here judging him.
I think we will see more and more “involvement” as people’s patience and livelihoods are tested.

Edit: killing someone does not automatically instill a measure of lifelong guilt. We are conditioned to believe that and we call it empathy. But the truth is that being forced to kill someone to save yourself or loved ones (or even a stranger) from being killed is not an action that should instill guilt...IMO

I watched some of the judge/prosecutor interaction yesterday.
I can't believe the prosecutor's smugness when talking to the judge ... and the judge letting him get away with it. He (the judge) knows somethings up and even the defense lawyer seems to be feeding rope to the prosecutor so he can hang himself with it.

The dirt bag prosecutor is trying to get a mistrial declared. Dershowitz explained it's a common tactic, the judge has the right to declare mistrial with prejudice, negating a second trial but he wants the jury to make the decision.

I try not to assume how people's life experience might influence their perception of a situation. It's a stretch for you to guess how I might have protected my business or property. To be clear; using every means possible is my answer, but I would not leave that property and walk alone into a hostile environment to "Help" people carrying a rifle. If I recall the Koreans during the Rodney King Riots did not go out into the crowd alone, they are smarter than that. Who hires a 17-year-old to protect a car lot?

I can think of other ways in which this young man might have achieved his goal of helping people and still protecting himself. It's unclear to me why he left the property he was "protecting". Either way, that does not contribute to my opinion on his guilt in this case. Perhaps he was traveling to another location he was tasked to protect, but I would not ask a young man with limited tactical, or security experience to walk through a hostile environment. I suspect he could have moved freely in the crowd based on his demographic if he did not have a rifle.

Is he a potential hero because he protected himself with an assault rifle? I would hardly call putting out a dumpster fire as being heroic. His testimony was impressive and I found myself cheering for him. Perhaps he's an anti-hero? The awkward young man who stood up against the hippy socialist and did what some of us might love to do. Shoot the bastards?

Is he a metaphor for good vs evil? Left Vs Right? Conservative vs Socialist? I feel like that is what we are really saying when we create a poster celebrating him. It does seem that the undertone of this trial is that conservatives are on trial based on the divide between the media propaganda machine.

Cleaning vandalism is noble, but not heroic. Maybe it's my own bias, but the video of him calling out to provide medical aid seems theater. I question what is the message we send when he is promoted as villain or hero. He's certainly not a Hero or Villain in my eyes, thankfully we live in a country where we can make our own judgments about who we want to celebrate as a Hero. Just a kid who used poor judgment and found himself in a bad situation, I am sure in hindsight, he might have made a different choice about his activities that night. I would have rather been trying to get into a girl's pants that night than play militia with a bunch of posers.

Yes, I am selfish, you all can have a good time with your revolution, I chose pussy.

FWIW that drug addict George Floyd was not a hero either.

The mayor elect of NYC was just threatened by BLM leadership with rioting, violence, and mayhem if he reinstates a special crime unit.
I don’t think it is “us” starting a revolution
I think we are being forced to respond.
While young Kyle may have had a choice that day, it would seem that in the not too distant future the choice to be disengaged may shrink to zero.
Not a single person here wants to be bothered with any of this lunacy, but it is not going to end without some level of involvement at some point.
Kyle went into it, true.
But it’s coming to us as well.

We don't know each other, I have not been active on here for years until recently. I don't want to sound like I am disrespectful to anyone here at RDP. I do enjoy a good debate and a worthy opponent, as long as I can still have a beer and a laugh when completed. It's also an exercise for me in the communication of thoughts that sometimes may not hit the target.

I could frankly give two shits about NYC. It serves no value to me. The Mayor-elect has resources he can deploy if he likes.
Who is starting a revolution might be worth some discussion. My comment was a little sarcastic, in so far as "You all can have a good time with your revolution", perhaps "The" revolution would have been more appropriate? Regardless we could argue the finer points of revolution for months. The left has succeeded in taking control of the US government it seems, and opposition to that could be considered a revolt. I hope a revolt against our current administration can be done with a ballot.

My wife is a historian. It's not a hobby, it's what she does. I'm not nearly as gifted as her in regards to citing resources. I doubt she will chime in here, but we like to talk about history in our home. I think our representative democracy experiment has been tested many times throughout our brief history. I imagine in the mid to late '60s when leaders were getting assassinated people had doubts about our future. When the social programs of FDR were rolled out, we turned a corner for the worst. Reconstruction was pretty bad as was the civil war that proceeded it. Obviously, the Great Depression was bad and the strikes of the late 1800s were no picnic.

I would like to think that we still have a chance, maybe I am hopelessly optimistic. I work in Marketing so, I see past the propaganda on both sides. CNN and FOX news both suck.

When they come for me, it will be on my terms where I have a fighting chance, not in the streets of a city. I am selfish, and a capitalist. I try and look for opportunity in troubled times, not a sword to fall on. Regardless the USA is still unlike any place on earth. I am thankful I was born here.

This is still true, although it is getting harder and harder to maintain this right with a Marxist government and Marxist media censoring the people.
