Never been to Miami, but is it like a year round Havasu? Looking at the pic at the dock, 2500hp CC, and a single motor pontoon in front of it. I've seen pics of Whalers, fishing rigs, cabin cruisers and yachts, but not usually pleasure boats like that.

Mother F'r, it's currently snowing outside. Florida, near a launch, may be the ticket ;)
There’s a lot of super rich, a lot of probably below poverty line. A lot of working class. It’s Los Angeles on the bay essentially. lol. I wouldn’t compare it to havasu as far as party atmosphere. They party on the water and have fun but it’s just different. Lot of yachts. Lot of keeping up with the Jones dick measuring, look at me shit. It’s expensive, it’s busy. I dont come to Florida to go to Miami. It’s a cool place to check out once. Other than that it’s a passing through type thing.

We’re down in key largo for the night now. The keys are where it’s at for us. Boated Jupiter, palm beach, Miami, lauderdale, ft Myers, Sarasota, Daytona, etc. Keys are more laid back.

Getting ready to go to dinner in a little while.

I'm thinking the Keys are nice....no high rise buildings in the background, no major traffic...that place would do quite nicely!

Great pics Tank! Why are the pilings on the docks in Florida on the outer edges of the docks? I have always wondered that. Seems like using fenders would be more of a PITA.

What's the deal with thoes buildings out there, were they restaurants that you tied up to or something
Stiltsville. AWESOME piece of American history! Homes, bars, a casino, store, etc built out in the bay during prohibition to drink and party. Fascinating history.

Bro, that’s how they do it here. It’s stupid as shit. lol. Pylon docking is mostly how they do it out here. Not standard docks. Cheaper for sure. Maybe withstand the hurricanes better.

That's awesome. Too bad they kicked the residents out. Those places would be hoppin if they were open as restaurants and bars

I was the same way when I lived down there. The Keys were where it’s at for me. The Miami area sandbars are just filled with drunk douchebags blasting Latin pop music on level 12.

Looks like a badass trip, thanks for sharing!

For sure! Supposedly you can rent them for the day and maybe even spend the night in one or two.

Yep! Exactly. It’s kinda lame. I’d compare it to the channel on a holiday weekend but you have like 19’ bayliners with 14 people on board blaring their blown out shitty system of latin hip hop all over rollin past 150’ yachts that are leased for the day. 😂😂

Believe most of C-Ya’s photos are from the Lauderdale area. Although, the Miami Boat Show remains unbelievable. Takes many days to do the whole thing. FWIW - City of Miami does have some questionable areas. The wealth in Palm Beach is like nothing ever seen in So Cal. The Keys are different than everything north of there. Key West has its own amazing feel.

The pilings are on the outside so the boats can ride up and down them when the tide changes since the docks are set at a stationary height. It works to help boats from getting stuck under docks when the tide drops, and then getting crushed when the tide rises. On new floating docks, the pilings are set inside the middle of the dock and the dock rides up the piling with rollers.

ProTip: Miami looks Great from the water. 👍🏼

Like @Tank said, the city is like downtown LA. Mainly like Compton! It's a area you want to get through as fast as you can

The Keys, on the other hand, are heaven on earth.

Every boater needs to go once. Even you just drive all the way down to Key West. The views are just mind blowing. 💕

Bryan is a cool dude.

I recognized him leaving the suite next to me at a Morgan Wallen concert a couple years ago. I stopped him heading to the head, and we chopped it up for a few minutes. I was far from sober too.

If you want to get off the water for a day, this place seems interesting. Of all places Miami.

That is cool but we’re not in Miami. We’re only there for a few hours. Then out!!

So where did Brian come up with two eggs ?
The bar gave them to him. 😂 everyone at the bar was watching. Everyone on the beach. It was pretty funny. Most people at the bar heard the set up but didn’t know the ending either. It was pretty freakin funny.

Then Bryan gave him the $100 at dinner. 😂

Watching the Super Bowl at the hotel while we eat dinner now. 😁👍
