Looking forward to seeing how it performs with a 4 stroke. Five years was way too long.

So cool - the mods on the 4 strokes (hydro space) make these things rip. Only concern is going to be weight. A 2 stroke SXR is extremely heavy. The 4 stroke is going to be a tank.

I have hear that as well and it is not computing with me - are they filling the thing with lead? Is that with or without the ballast tanks filled? :D

If it is 900LBS that exceeds my crane and winch setup on the toon. Not to mention my collection of two strokes I have built thinking the would never actually release the 4 stroke stand up. I will need to see how this places out.

I heard it is longer as well, be interesting. Love it if it came in at 400 pounds and current size.

Yeah...could only imagine it will also be in 15-17K range or more ....can't wait to see it...the 900lbs is just rumors off of other boards...Guess they are bringing Clayton Jacobsen out for the launch at the World Championships....Was talking to his son at Road Runner last weekend as they are all getting geared up for it...

its junk. Heavy, long, not a true stand up and slow. I know the test riders....

Not a true stand up? It has a seat of some sort I'm assuming?

The 15-17K was just rumor....the last SXR's were stickered at 10K+ got to imagine a 4 stroke is going to add a premium...

Tthe 2011 800SXR's, which was the last year of selling them to the public in general, had an MSRP of 7,899.00.

They were 7.55 feet long, 28.7 inches wide, 28.9 inches tall, and weighed 369 pounds dry.

I paid 7200 bucks out the door for mine brand new in Tucson. Never been in the water. :D

That's not true my mamma said I is a jenius!!!

Making $800 after riding something for free for two years is always smart...lol

They are getting $5k to $6k now, and hard to even find one for sale that hasn't been molested..

I have Tobtek / Andy01's old 1100 SXR 2 stroke in my garage. It rides pretty nice. You run out of room quick - and I am thinking bailing off will be less than ideal at speed. :D

Lol, yeah I don't think bailing at speed will work out so well. Go Pro it if you do :D

That 4 stroke is gonna be heavy up front thats for sure.Stand up needs to be light and a 2 stroke engine is the only way to go.

A sit down its another story and the 4 stroke works well in them theres room and floatation.

Agree - but they have the Hydrospace 4 strokes - when I say scary fast - they are sick. Big $$$ and hard to service / support but when you watch full mods go it is pretty bad ass. They have a crazy sound and spool to them - Andy01 please chime in.

At that price no way. I don't give a shit if it appraises. I'll wait to buy used cash if it turns out to be worth it.

If it's anything like what riverroyal is claiming, no thanks. I know he knows that industry so sounds like a real bummer.

I hear it is based off of a existing boat, with a stand up deck. That is the short answer I heard. Hope it isn't true. I'm also hearing mid 10's on price.

The Hydro space and aftermarket skis are extremely fast and fun for a experienced rider. They sound crazy at speed. I cannot see how a manufacture would not be able to do that very same thing with multiple years of r and d. But better, I don't see them releasing the stand up in some sort of a bandaid type fashion just to bring one to market. Maybe that's the hopeful side of me. I loved my SXR 800's, and the 1,100 was a killer ski. Still own them all if I didn't have other financial comments in life.

That makes me feel a little better.

Found my 06 100% stock practically new and it was registered in CA which was weird/hard to find.

$4200 was a steal for how clean it was

First weekend out with my SXR i wadded it wide out and it hurt....buddy was with me and said it looked like a water explosion as I tumbled on the water 4 x before going under. Lost some pretty nice sunglasses...lol

I learned quickly that boat doesn't like it when you chop throttle at high speeds...starts hunting for a new direction:yikes:D

Kawasaki revoked many dealers Jet Ski part of the franchise if their sales were low.
Pissed us off.
We could get ours serviced locally, now it's a long drive across the county with a long wait for an appointment.

We ride regularly as a family. I am pretty sure some day my boys will pick it up. 2 Stroke service pretty straight forward. I have a couple of skiis I have managed to keep together. Here is a cool pic that I dug up of my boys a few years back. :thumbsup :cool

I was just watching a water cross event in tv, and these Kommander K1 ski's were kicking ass on everything out there. Had never heard of them, but definitely bad ass.

I have a hard time believing that Kawasaki would spend the money to develop a new stand up and then make it heavy, long, expensive, and ride shitty.

The "reports" and rumors about the ski are likely just internet noise.

I'd love to own one, but my days ripping on a stand up are far behind me. Probably couldn't even get up on it.

KMC will make sure it is a bad boat, im sure it will perform and not be as heavy as the naysayers want it to seem. im just happy they are keeping the standup jet ski alive! I wish I could get a hold of Minoru Kanemori, I met him this past summer at the races, and he is the main R&D guy at kawasaki for the last 20 years in the watercraft department and im sure he has some juice about the new ride...:D

Great news. :eek

So when I finally ride mine in my mid 50's after 25 year of not riding one I will just have Air Evac follow me in a hover with the dive team. :D

I used to ride with Kanemori when he first moved to Havasu. He'd always let me try out his latest and greatest creations. I'm thinking around '93, maybe '94. I'm glad to hear he is still with Kawasaki. I hope he is doing well. Super nice guy to everyone he met.

Yep thats him for sure! he was awesome to meet at Elsinore this year, at my first jet ski race in July at the Best in the west series, I recognized him from the original "All My Crazy Friends" Movie and it was 94' when he and his team mate went 1st and 2nd in the World Finals, seemed like he had'nt changed a bit!
he was really humble, and even helped me load my ski back in the toybox after the races, and stayed and BBQed with Charlie Martinez and the crew. it was a great first race experience for me, since I have raced motorcycles all my life, I figured it would be great to try racing my other passion. :D

Lol. Same boat I'm in.

Im the same age and picked up 2 800s when we bought the river house 3 years ago.

Well they weren't my old 750 sxi pro. The 800 stuck to the water great but its heavy. My old riding style was definitely not there. Not sure how much was age or the new ski.

Id prefer my modified sxi pro back honestly. Ended selling the 800's
