Went to Fry’s and Safeway yesterday looking for eggs. Neither store had an egg in sight!
Our local meat market had them a couple dollars cheaper than the grocery stores. We have local farms that sell them as well. Maybe check the rural areas around you.Went to Fry’s and Safeway yesterday looking for eggs. Neither store had an egg in sight!
The local grocery store here in Chino were about $9-10 for a dozen. Hottinger’s was $7-8 a dozen. There’s a lot of locals in Norco still selling them 5 or 6 bucks a dozen
I sent a friend a message asking what he’s got. He has a dozen chickens and when they lay there is usually a surplus. Our local meat market had them a couple dollars cheaper than the grocery stores. We have local farms that sell them as well. Maybe check the rural areas around you.
If you’re in Chino then you should be at Billy’s egg farm. I bought them just before Christmas and it was $62.50 for 100.The local grocery store here in Chino were about $9-10 for a dozen. Hottinger’s was $7-8 a dozen.
Costco in Cypress had plenty of eggs a couple of days ago. My wife said they are considerable cheaper than the grocery store.

Unfortunately my chickens are molting right now.
they've been running out daily long before this b.s. I can only imagine how bad it is now.Shhhh... the line is already long enough.
Especially the Jumbosthey've been running out daily long before this b.s. I can only imagine how bad it is now.
prior to christmas it was all of them. If I arrived after noon the gate would be closed with a sign stating....sold out.Especially the Jumbos
FUUUUUUCKIt didn't help that KCAL9 basically announced it to the planet that they were a viable source.
Good for them, I'm sure.
I keep a couple thousand in my safe…

I don’t buy or eat eggs much at all.Up side is if your house burns down you still have an omelet.
LOL Big deal just stop eating them until the shortage is over, its not like beer or something.
Yup. Buddy of mine has been doing this for awhile now. Not sure how many he has that actually lay eggs, but for the time we are set and my money goes straight to the farmer instead of a large commercial chain. I have plenty of room for chickens, just didn't ever want to deal with them. That might change here in the near future. There’s a lot of locals in Norco still selling them 5 or 6 bucks a dozen

I went there the Friday before Christmas and Billy came out and put the sold out sign about five cars behind mine. Just in time.prior to christmas it was all of them. If I arrived after noon the gate would be closed with a sign stating....sold out.
I scored 2 dozen from this guy today, 6 bucks a dozen!I sent a friend a message asking what he’s got. He has a dozen chickens and when they lay there is usually a surplus.
That place has grown tremendously over the last few years. It’s right off of Ramona expressway and WarrenRiver Buddy has an egg farm somewhere near Hemet. There specialty is green eggs. Hopefully all his chickens are healthy and he is tripling his income!

Ours haven't been laying the past couple weeks, likely due to the weather.
Wife texted me this morning - I have a chicken that is egg outbound - I put her in a container in your bathroom to see if she can pass it....
They have the light. Long chicken run as well. It’s just the molting aspect. We’ve been through this years before. I’ll take a look at what you’re saying though. They need 12+ hours of daylight, add a grow light in their coop on a timer to extend the day a few hours
