Is this just a SoCal thing?
Well, they obviously were not keeping 6ft apart and wearing a mask. Two of the largest egg producing facilities in New Mexico and western Texas had the bird flu hit the bird.
Between both over 5 MILLION egg producing birds had to be eliminates. One facility lost all thier birds.
Within north America, the avian influenza has wreaked havoc on the egg market. In November and December alone, 17.2 million egg-laying hens were killed as a result of the getting the virus.
You think they would know betterWell, they obviously were not keeping 6ft apart and wearing a mask.
And here I thought stupid egg prices were just a utah thing........lolWe are paying $22.00 for 5 dozen at Costco, we were paying $14.00 per dozen a few weeks ago. At Save Mart they are $8.99 per dozen. We live in Ripon in Nor Cal next to Modesto.
Yes.....Are you growing weed or laying eggs
Apparently they weren't quick enough with getting the arrows placed in the coups and properly fitting surgical masks on the little buggers. Damned lazyazz farmers......You think they would know better
Damn chickens.....ya tell'm and tell'm.....make sure you put the cigarette out completely before returning to the coop.....I wonder if this was an inside job to get rid of the flu? lol
Chickens dead after coop catches fire in eastern Oklahoma County
Crews kept flames from spreading to a home early Friday morning in eastern Oklahoma County.www.koco.com
Our neighboring Chicken ranch caught the bird flu also back in October and they had to kill 1.2million chickens and 500,000 turkeys."School-age children suffered because of the pandemic."
Correction: "School-age children suffered because of society's RESPONSE to the pandemic."
It is my understanding, please correct me if I'm wrong, that the flu itself is not killing the birds; they are being culled by the hundreds of thousands.
No. Havasu also. Of course, that might as well be SoCal, without the regulations.
That would put a dent in your Thanksgiving business. Sucks for everyone. Our neighboring Chicken ranch caught the bird flu also back in October and they had to kill 1.2million chickens and 500,000 turkeys.
