Dang, y'all are validating my decision - when I met my wife she was about 3 or 4 years out of college and making decent bank. She was still driving the used Geo Metro that her parents bought her in high school, and I had to pry all 3 of those cylinders out of her cold dead hands (I talked her into a new RSX so she got over it pretty quickly tho...). Yeah, she crazy; crazy frugal...!

ā€¦ iā€™ve had a lot of girlfriendsā€¦ I donā€™t recall ever having one that collected shoes ā€¦but then again what I havenā€™t known probably hasnā€™t hurt me.šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļøā€¦
ā€¦ Wait a minuteā€¦ My Playboy Bunny girlfriend always had a storage unitā€¦ What was in itā€¦kinda wouldā€™ve been impossible to really tellšŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļøā€¦

Yes. My wife is crazy. The shit she holds onto is insane. We have closets full of Xmas decorations. Sheā€™s spilled over into the garage. She keeps old school work & projects my kids did. Old bills and mail. We have another house so I was able to spread some stuff out and now sheā€™s filled it back up.

Recently Sheā€™s actually decided to get rid of some stuff. Sheā€™s worked hard and hasnā€™t even made a dent. She fills bags for goodwill and then stores them for a year or more before she will actually let them go. I finally just started taking them and donating them.

My buds "wife" across street in Corona del Mar has a little shopping addiction issue .... I watch her show up with a trunk full from what he calls a retail therapy session.... he unloads all the crap into the garage.... Im not even sure she takes it up into the house .... next day after she splits he packs it up taking it back to stores. He and I giggle as he shares the details pounding a martini always mumbling "Happy wife Happy life" or some such shit.

This is a funny threadā€¦ā€¦..

I will spare you guys the pics of my wifeā€™s closets. I am guessing my wife has more shoes than anyone in this thread. I have estimated her pile at approaching 300 pairs of shoes and footwear. It could be more?

Itā€™sā€¦ā€¦ā€¦. Ridiculous!

Dont even get me started on the amount of handbags and purses. Those need a closet, just for themselves.

Thankfullyā€¦ā€¦ā€¦. She keeps her numerous Mink Coats in a cold storage facility designed to house such items. BTW, all the Minks were inherited. They never get worn since we live in Florida, so they have lived the last 10 years being stored at a monthly storage cost. Itā€™s a good thing too because they would need their own closet if they were in our home.

At least 10 times in the past 27 years, my wife has collapsed a clothes rod in her closets. LOL. KA-Boom

My wife basically owns all the closets in the house except for a small portion of one walk in closet in our master bedroom where I get to keep my clothes. That was kind of the deal we made when we bought this place. I get 3 spaces of the 4 car garage and no Christmas shit or other girl-stuff is allowed in my 3 spaces, but she gets the closets in the house beyond what I need for my closet stuff. Darn good deal as far as I'm concerned.

So she decides she needs to organize one of her shoe closets. To my knowledge, she has two closets in the house that are just used for shoes and nothing else. She bought some shelving for me to assemble and emptied one of the closets so I can put the shelving in.

Current situation in that room:

And this is just one closet. Anybody know a good therapist? I might need to get her some help.
Same situation here, I get 3ā€™ of closet space. She could probably rival your wife. Good thing about it I get the whole lower level, got room for at least 4 cars. Total man cave 2100squ./feet.šŸ˜Ž

Mr.DB doesn't come on here, so I'll answer for him.

His wife isn't crazy at all and definitely doesn't have a purse addiction.

Mine is in crisis for the last year or two. She is slowly, begrudgingly giving up inches at a time to our son, in his room.........

We moved to Farmersville and a smaller house two years ago. There are at least thirty boxes of crap on the pallet rack in my shop that haven't been opened since the day they were placed there.

But I'm forbidden to go through them. Fortunately Fonda still does weeklong in house pet sitting for her long time customers in Plano occasionally, and that gives me opportunity to, uh, repurpose some items. She's gonna be gone for five days next week.

Shhhh!

Yup, wife is insane with Shoes, overpriced handbags, boots, clothes, bras, bathing suits. She plays this shell game with her sister and mom, when I ask her if this handbag is new, "Nope, my sister is loaning it to me...".

Wife collects horses, and anything printed to newspaper, books, and magazines. One horses died a few months back so we still have 5 and paper stuff all over.
I think this is just another form of crazy!
I told her I have only 2 mustangs, 2 trucks, 2 tractors, a mini ex, mini skid, 3 lawnmowers, tools, 5 chainsaws, and lots of stuff. Yes I am crazy.

And one boat.

Holy shit, that makes sense.. I had a girl I was talking to and something came up about her storage unit, and the whole deal of why she was there sounded a bit off but I didn't think of it much. Then later some other things turned me off about her trainwreck ways, but now everything makes perfect sense..

Oh and back to topic. Nothing better than women with hot feet who wear nice shoes!! I guess that's one reason why I'm into European, especially Slavic women.. They're always wearing high heels and that immediately changes the way they look and carry themselves when they walk.

You get to drive a tiki boat for a living so I would still say you are winning.
