Me too, and this is what I don't understand. Tehran is apparently a nice city with lots of young, modern and progressive people

Yet, these religious heathens manage to stay in power.
This is what happens when the citizens are unarmed. I'm hoping for an overthrow as well.

In the most recent uprising in Iran, over 1500 have been killed and 12,000 imprisoned.:(

That is what is so upsetting to me. I had friends called up to serve in Iraq and Afghanistan...and now their kids will be. Same fight, different decades.

The other possible game changer, which no one mentions. North Korea has gotten so far with rockets with help from Iran. Iran is run by religious freaks that really would like to bring armegedon, because that brings some imam from somewhere. Lots of people could die. Everyone keeps saying these countries don't have the technology. We all seem to gloss over the concept that the first nuke was made in the 40's. By the 60's, both the U.S. and USSR had made them very compact...with less technology then the average kitchen appliance.

I would be ok if one of my Sons got the call. Of course very nervous, but very proud as well.

One thing Folks have to realize is Marines die. Nobody wants to say it when signing the Paperwork, but it's true. Another thing most People don't realize is dying in Combat Zone is almost an Honor for alot of Marines. Alot of People will say "Getting blown up by an IED is not Honorable...", and I agree. But the Concept is still very alive.

I'm not justifying any American Deaths from War. If we want to live like we do, we have to defend it at times. War is inevitable for us. So might as well be good at it, and minimize Casualties. I believe we are one of the best at this. We've proved it time and time again. Being successful puts a Target on our back. Sometimes, if provoked, it's time to fucking fight about it.

And fuck Iran. Fucking Assholes should've gotten smacked this hard a long time ago. I hope we hit em again. And again. And again. Eliminate that Threat. Now. Choke that Country until it stops moving, and piss on their dead Bodies. Fuck em.

Ok, so your advice is to have the UN deal with them?

In my opinion, the past leaders of the US put us in todays equation, but allowing NKorea, Iran, China, Russia etc etc etc to get away with “small aggressions”, because the dont rise to the level of a “war type response”

This strategy has emboldened the enemys of the US, now they truly believe in the ideal of a death by 1000 cuts... that strategy has been playing out for the last 10 years...

Again, my opinion here. Every now and then we have to show them, that there are ramifications for there actions

bBecause the previous strategys we used obviously havent worked.

Time for a new strategy, and us fearing there response is just stupid... because they will get there ass handed to them in a very swift manner..

Option B : do nothing and let them take over the world with Radical Islam beliefs.

Even if they have Nuke weapons, they are not stupid enough to use them.

Again thats my opinion

Also, if us Missile Striking a few SUV's with high value Targets, doesn't get your Brain thinking about how much Surveillance / Intel we have on these Dickweeds, then I'd say the Car is running, but no one is behind the wheel....

Somebody posted above we might not have em beat in Tech...... Lol. Yes we do, we just proved it last night. Do you think they have that capability? Well, they don't. Instead, they're gonna act like a bunch of un caged Animals, and go Riot and destroy another Embassy. Fuckin' Dipshits.

No, I would not suggest the UN...the only difference would be the banner flown...majority of the troops would still be American. I think you and I may agree that the current strategy...the one from the last 20+ years...is not as effective as one would hope. The tactical strikes are impressive, but to a society that thinks he was a martyr, it just gets them excited and the next group ready to fight. Shows of force may need to be on a larger scale. They say this was most likely a drone strike. In a way, a show of force. There are enough assets on the ground there, it could have just as easily been a headshot from a fair distance. There are definitely reasons for the actions, but I don't know them. I really feel the threat needs to be hammered.
As for "fearing" a response. Only a fool enters a fight expecting not to bleed. Underestimating opponents is what happened to the Soviets in Afghanistan. We backed the very same people we are fighting now in that same part of the world. Who is backing them now? What chain of events could trigger a more global response? Iran, Russia and China have been participating in training exercises together. We most likely have technological superiority over them. There is an issue with the concept of over-bearing, where sheer numbers will change things.
The first World War was triggered by the assassination of a relative nobody. It was a flashpoint during a time when countries were trying to prove who's way was right. It was just over 100 years ago. It cost an estimated 17 million lives...in just for years.

It's not the short game I fear. It's the long view that bothers me.

Hopefully, the time is now and they revolt. Unfortunately, like previously mentioned many were killed and thousands were jailed.

The new generation is very Pro American and for those that don’t know and never eaten, Iranian food is tasty, you’ll never go hungry. Side note: Iran has the best looking women in the Middle East.

God Bless our Troops being deployed.

I'm somber, we are headed to war. It was one that was inevitable. I wish it wasn't so easy for us to be blamed for every problem in the middle East. End of the day we are the great Satan and they are religious zealots.

I'm glad this guy is gone. I'm pissed that the Dems are politicizing this. I worry for my kids.

Half measures and puppets governments haven't worked. I don't know what the answer is and I don't know that there is one outside of the annihilation of everyone who believes that we are evil incarnate. The problem is those people have brothers and fathers and sons who will seek their revenge for other reasons.

I remember watching Patriots taking out scuds on CNN as a kid. I hate that we have to watch it happen all over again and again and again.

Take out our embassy we take out the guy who planned the attack. Iran vows vengeance. They escalate and do something stupid. We declare war. The dance continues... Fuck...

If we are going to do this take the fucking gloves off I'm tired of dancing....

after the 2nd strike these fucks are hunkered down. I am Pro-Trump all the way, he made the right decision and had way more intel than we know about what that shithead was about to do. I don't think Iran has the balls to go all out, we have a carrier group sitting out there waiting, and close to 40k troops in the region. shit will get real real quick. they aren't that stupid...hopefully. Fuck the dems and liberals who have been apologizing all day, makes me sick! we aren't the aggressor here, we are the responders and hit harder than they expected.

Iran doesn't have half the Tech and Training we do. And they're broke. They can't fight a War with the United States. They bring nothing to the table. They have no Cards or Chips.

Here's the idiot who is gonna start the war... https://www.foxnews.com/world/iran-...mmander-attack-destroys-warships-persian-gulf

I almost hope that they try to take out on of our ships in the gulf.

Iranians are well educated and fully understand they can’t win a conventional war with the US.

They will continue to develop their nuclear program to weapons grade as well as their intercontinental missile program with the help of their allies China and Russia.

They will engage in asymmetric retaliation through proxy wars, cyber activities as well as an expanded target list to include political figures of their enemies now that political targets have been put on the table this week.

And the Middle East will remain the Middle East just as it has since the late 40’s and our children’s children will still be wondering when there will be peace in the Middle East........

Are you giving odds...?

This results in a direct retaliation against Americans. People are going to die because of this. The only question is how many.
So how would you have handled the specific situation?

I support this decision....
Our Embassy's may be on foreign territory's, but they are American Soil.... And should be defended as such.
This not only teachs Iran a lesson, it teachs all of Americas Enemy's.

I personally would have gone a step further... Like I have stated in the past... Take out a few key Run Ways on Iran Military Bases...

Let the world know, if you mess with us, Its probably not worth the price you have to pay.

Piece thru strength, and show of force when necessary.

I truly hope this motivates the citizens of Iran, to overthrow there current government. The vast majority of Iranians I have met over the years, are typically good people.
The message sent to the Iranians fed up with the current gov, is Trump ain't O and will be more apt to have their backs if they rise up. We need no boots on the ground, but there are other ways to aid them rather than let them suffer.

Again, I'm sure Big Don has plans for any scenario and is a steps ahead of the bad guys. More surgical strikes like this one and the rat's will go for cover. And Israeli intel will likely keep us informed and in the right spots to take out subversive intents

I know how to fix the Middle East. Exterminate the Religion that wants to exterminate You. And Me. All American's, and everybody else that doesn't have the same Beliefs or way of Life that they do.

Problemfuckingsolved. I should run this Country. I have Solutions. :D
