They're all great shots but I really like this one. It's cool to see all those awesome, colorful boats lined up among the old trees and ominous looking setting.

There's a place on the wawa here called the Prop Stop. uh huh. uh huh.
Wet tshirt contest that was off the chain.

Tannic acid from all the vegetation. Basically a huge swamp. It's clean but lots of sediment as it's shallow, just different from what you see running through rocky different soil type areas you're used to seeing.

Never heard that term "Tannic acid". The inland water in Fla would have a dark red tint, especially after rains. Must be the vegetation washing in.

Damn Jay. Wish I had seen this earlier. I'm in New Orleans right now. We were flying aerials for the History Channel over the swamp yesterday. Saw a few boats out & was really surprised. Shot a few of them for grins but I doubt that footage will make the air.

I saw a couple of helos... one maroon Jet Ranger and a boatpix r44 when we were on Ponchartrain.
Bet this place looks cool from the air.

I saw a couple of helos... one maroon Jet Ranger and a boatpix r44 when we were on Ponchartrain.
Bet this place looks cool from the air.

We were in a mostly white Jet Ranger but we were not focused on the Ticfaw 200. I didn't even know there was anything going on actually...

We had a long shot list for the client with some close coordination with the action on the ground and the director of photography was on-board so we had to stay pretty tight to the shot schedule. I did have half the day to play though yesterday after the initial technician stuff was finished so I could have made it out for the afternoon & evening festivities... Ended up in the French Quarter destroying brain cells and breaking eardrums to some fantastic Jazz Fest music... Haven't eaten anything that is not local. Cajun, mudbugs, Abita beer...LOL

Great pictures. My good friends Paul and Vickie live on the Blood River about 200 yard up river from the Blood River Bar, they have a 42 foot Sea Ray parked out in front of their house. That's fun boating country in the Summer.
