The interesting thing is the underbelly of society that lives in the counter-culture and doesn't recognize the controlling authority, whether it is speeding, paying taxes, standing in line, or passing an emissions inspection. We seem to tolerate various degrees of insubordination based on our own acceptance of the ruling authority.

I recognize the rules of RDP in exchange for the luxury of participating in this community; in other social situations, I may not recognize the authority because it does not provide value. The libertarian (more likely Anarchist) in me feels comfortable with the absence of many services provided by a government, and I tend to stay away from places that don't provide reasonable value in exchange for following that society's rules.

I sent the email to the county assessor clerk. I included my lease agreement for the storage unit. I received the email from:

Now I have to do the change of address through the DMV. I tried to do that online this morning, but I got an error message from the site. I will try again before going to the DMV in person.

On your next boat renewal, fill out form and mail it in.
FYI - if you change the address with DMV incorrectly, you will no longer be able to register the boat in CA.
DMV only maintains permenant storage address and states if located out of CA, you are no longer allowed to register the boat in CA.
