I would appreciate your thoughts and energy today

This morning (Tuesday) my mother-in-law is undergoing surgery to remove a cancerous mass in one of her lungs. It's not large (2.2 cm), and there's no indication it has metastisized, but obviously it's a frightening situation. She's 83, and in reasonably good health.

I'll post later when we know what the surgeon found and a prognosis if one is given.

She's out of recovery and has been admitted to spend a couple of days. I don't know much else right now. Thanks to everyone for the support. A earlier biopsy had confirmed malignancy, but there's no indication right now it has spread.

@playdeep Dad is 90, and spiraling down more quickly. The dementia is worsening, and my sister, who has been living with and taking care of him for six years, says his temperament is becoming erratic. She is really having a rough time.

It's sad to say it, but it would be OK if God called him home to be with my Mom.
