I know they are.
Kids are on ski team. It's a huge $ and time commitment for them and the wife and I.
Minimum 2 days a week since the end of November. One on mountain practice day a week. Which they get out of school for and one race day every other week or so. Races every week the last 3 weeks. Got to miss 3 days of school for mid week races. Lucky pricks.
Our county is on a 4 day school week program. So every Friday they can catch a bus to their local mountain if they don't have a race that day at another resort.
Wife is an assistant coach. Goes to every practice. Rides the bus with the kiddos on practice days. We drive them all over the state for races. No busses for races. We are super committed.
Last race and practice of the season were last week. Wife wakes uo this morning at 5 and says she wants to go ride. 7" of fresh over night and a blue bird day. I get the kids up and they start throwing a fit. They don't want to go. I lost my chit. Spoiled pricks. Wife doesn't really get to do many runs during practices and race days and she want to get some runs in today.
I didn't want to be a dick about it. But it really pissed me off. I also don't want to burn them out.
13 year old twins. 14 next month.
